Today’s video shows the second step in the process of making our parts. After the piece has been digitally scanned to make sure it’s perfect and symmetrical, it is sent to a foam factory where a life size foam replica is made. This mold will be used to create the sand casting that the steel will be poured into. Here's part of the process our 1955 Chevy Nomad Eyebrow Moulding (HL13-551P) goes through to get it's amazing chrome finish! It's triple plated in the US by Advanced Plating in Tennessee to ensure the best quality, finish, and look. This video shows the piece being dipped into a copper/cyanide bath right before it gets polished.
