The back end of this video makes me proud. Kid can hit period. Being coachable and working hard has been a choice that she made. Karalyne Wade, 2024 at George Washington, Doubles to gap and later adds(not pictured)on a walk off to eliminate Huntington High School from MSAC action. The backend of this video shows countless hours of practice that turned into confidence. Great footwork receiving the ball, just off the bag at time of receiving the ball, and a cannon to 3. Those things don't happen without work and most coaches won't trust kids to throw behind runners. We practice it, every practice. It's evident by the work she does. And I tell them if we can't throw 90 ft without making an error, go play soccer. Hard work wins, ALWAYS. Skyler Lawrence, 2024 and Kaylie Lawrence, 2023 being interviewed by the Half Time Prep Talk Podcast for their contribution to the Greenup County Softball 9 - 1 start. This is the the best start GCHS Softball has ever had, and these two are the pitcher/catcher combo are a big part of it. They couldn't do it without the entire team but they're a big reason for it. They both have the same batting average of .514, a combined 40 hits, 11 Doubles, 3 Homeruns, 28 RBI, and 18 Runs Scored. These two sisters bring a lot to the table and being a year apart, they've always been there pushing one another to be the best.
