Vintage Mercies
Saving long forgotten treasures one attic at a time.
Would it kill Hobby Lobby to have an aisle of milk?
Like "Hey babe. I'm going to run to the store for some milk."

Happy first day of fall!
I've never heard this quote, but it definitely gives a different view of autumn in the South!
Love it!π
It is officially the -ber month season, and I am πhere πfor πit!

Exciting things coming for my family and this page!
But keeping it simple for now.
Stay tuned!
Fresh flowers.
Sun.
Pretty herb prints.
These are a few of my favorite things.
Loving my summer, patriotic mantle!
I love celebrating our great country all summer long.
I tend to keep our red, white, and blue up all summer long before moving into early fall decor in August.
With a new baby coming in September, that fall decor will probably go up even earlier.
What is your favorite kind of decor for summer?πΊπ²β€πΊπ²π
What says "summer" more than sweet tea?
Although, this summer this pregnant mama wants cherry pepsi---no sweet tea here.
What is your go-to summer drink?
A little sneak peek of my 4th of July summer mantle.
It is a very different ballgame decorating with a three year old and very, very active one year old!
It still brings me joy---but shew it is a test of patience (that I often fail at miserably)!
Remember.πΊπ²
Life has been crazy the past few months. The past few weeks. Well, yesterday was crazy.
But---this view with that light made me stop and be thankful in the midst of the chaos even if for just a moment.
Happy Mother's Day weekend to all of you super moms out there!
You all are amazing!
Enjoy all of quiet, no laundry or cooking or diaper changing or bath time that this weekend has to offer!
Relax and have fun!
Even during the hard times, we know that God has a plan.
Even when He says "no", we have peace knowing that He has something better planned for us!
Slow down.
Enjoy the simple things.
Be still.
Listen for God to whisper during those quiet times.
Who is ready for spring?!?
I am!!!
Currently 44 day and counting!
I'm ready to go on runs outside and get my hands dirty in the garden!
What are you looking forward to when the weather gets warmer?
"Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me."
"Come Thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace..."
"Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love."
A little sunshine on this rainy dayπΏβοΈ
I am so enjoying the clean slate that is "decor after Christmas".
What about you?
What kind of decor do you put out in January?
New Year's greetings!
Happy New Year's Eve!
Happy New Year's Eve!
Despite 2020 being so 2020, I have learned so much about trusting God no matter what.
I have learned the small things are so important.
I have learned time can be a thief of special moments if we let it.
I have learned God allows hard times to build our faith.
I have learned God is in control---whether the outcomes are what we want or not.
2020 you were hard.
But you taught me so much!
Thank you!
It feels so good to take Christmas decor down and simplify everything for the new year, but I do miss the glow of the Christmas lights. How about you?
I have loved this little vintage music corner this season.
My son and I can listen to Christmas music all year long (and did in 2020) so this was a little ode to him.
Happy Tuesday, y'all!
My "after Christmas" decor is coming soon.
Until then, we'll enjoy a few more Christmas pictures during this week when no one knows exactly what day it is anyway.π€·πΌββοΈ
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
"The little Lord Jesus lay down his sweet head."
I grew up doing a "Happy birthday, Jesus" party on Christmas Eve.
This year, I will continue that tradition with my own kids.
Are there any traditions you are carrying over to your family?
Merrry Christmas eve and happy birthday, Jesus!
"You better watch out. You better not cry. You better not pout. I'm tellin' you why."

"Holidays are joyful,
There's always something new.
