Well, definitely not the weekend I wanted.

Had an incident during Friday's practice that sent me to the hospital. Thankfully nothing life-threatening, just some fractured ribs.

Sadly I'm not likely to make the next race at Summit Point, but should be healed up enough for the final race of the season at Barber Motorsports Park.

Well that was an interesting weekend.

First of all, Road Atlanta is just amazing!

The turnout for Saturday's racing was the most that I've seen in a WERA race.
Sadly Saturday ended early due to a fire incident.

Racing wise I had some awesome starts, but sadly couldn't hold my positions. I definitely need to work on my pace at this track.

Now time to focus on the rest of the season. Up next is Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio in July! Stay tuned for more updates, or even come out to watch 🏍️

Sorry for the late post, but the season is finally a wrap!
For anyone that doesn't know, my time at the 50th anniversary of WERA Grand National Finals last weekend was bittersweet.

Friday's endurance was eventful. I low sided during practice, but managed to get the bike ready in time for the 4 hr Relay Race. We managed to get 6th out of 12 teams.

Then Sunday was the final round of the WERA National Challenge Series. I made it through practice this time 😅 but sadly the first lap of the 600cc Superstock race took me out. Another rider made contact with my rear wheel mid turn, taking both of us out. Sadly there was not enough time to fix the bike before the start of 750cc Superstock race, so I took a DNS.

However! Even after all of that madness, I happened to have enough points from the season to get a 3rd overall in the 600cc Superstock Class and a 1st overall in the 750cc class!
Being my first year in the Expert class, I couldn't be happier with the outcome 😁
Hopefully I can keep the growth going in 2023! 🤞🏍️😁

Well the start of this weekend was interesting. Ended up crashing in Friday's endurance practice.

Though thanks to Woodcraft Technologies amazing products, I only needed to replace some clip-ons and was able to re-tech in time for the endurance race.

We (Team Raul's Band of Misfits) finished 6th out of 12 in the relay class!

Now preparing for the last round of the 600 and 750cc National Series. Wish me luck today 🤞

I'll be there!
Will be my 2nd time trying endurance racing. Super stoked about that 😁
Then Sunday I'll be fighting to maintain my 1st and 3rd place standings in the 750cc and 600cc National Series.
