The Modern Whig Party of Kentucky is a small, grass-roots, growing affiliate of the national Modern Whig Party. The party promotes pragmatic practical solutions over ideology and extremism. The party follows former Kentucky Whig and famed politician Henry Clay - the great compromiser. Clay helped hold the union together as long as possible before the inevitable civil war. The second would be another Kentuckian: Abraham Lincoln - 13 years later.
