🦋 Lowlights//haircut 🦋

Grey blending doesn’t always have to require bleaching. We cut out old blonde and layered her up! I added subtle lowlights so her darker grey pieces blended with the beautiful white ones and it looked more dimensional for her liking!

When taking on new guests; especially someone you’ve become friends with and they are struggling from a previous bad hair job (not done by me) annnd then they ask if you can help them with said crisis… let’s just say, that pressure to fix it and make it perfect is on another level.

I’m human, so naturally I obsessed over what the best route was and even ended up projecting negative thoughts.. (how am I going to fix this? Why did I take this on? I can’t do this!)

But, we made it work. We took the keratin tips that were previously installed and turned them into I-tips. So no fusing was done. Just beads and the hair strand. We cut a lot of length off which was also hard on my client, but it had to be done to blend what was broken. I am not showing faces out of protection of privacy. However, the front sides were completely broken off due to the weight and method previously used. This is just the start of our healing journey for her. To get the text I did after feeling such heaviness during this service, was so uplifting. Please do your research before you jump into extensions if you haven’t had them before. Especially if no other methods are offered during a consult. Not every method is safe for your hair type!

Starting August 1st, my cut off time for evening color services will be 4:00 PM.

The storm last night unfortunately knocked our power out at the salon. We have had trees come down on our cars and on power lines, some damage to the esthetics of our porch, etc. with that being said it appears that it wasn’t just our space that got hit pretty hard. We are currently waiting on them to get stuff cleared up and our power back on but we can’t guarantee it’ll be done by your appointment time. Please be patient with us and keep your phone on standby for potential reschedules. I’m so sorry for any inconvenience, especially with this being a holiday week!

My beautiful mom wanted a change. We added baby lights all over and touched up her roots. Finished off this beautiful color with a nice re-layered/shaped cut and the perfect amount of face framing!

I personally always double shampoo! I don’t wash every day (if you do, it’s fine)

However, it’s super easy for product build up, sweat, dandruff, etc. to build up on your scalp. If you’re shampooing only once and you notice your hair doesn’t feel as clean as it should, give it a second scrub. Summer is also near so if you’re using sunscreen on your scalp/part lines like you should, you definitely want to wash a second time 😉
