www.5StonesFamilyFarm.com | Lincoln, Ca | Homeschool Family | 1st Generation Farmers | Visit our website to learn about our farm and what we offer! 🍒 Hello!
We are the Andersons, the proud owners and operators of 5 Stones Family Farm! We decided to ditch city life in May and embarked on the adventure of a lifetime by purchasing our 20 Acre orchard. It was very neglected and wild when we came along but its well on its way to becoming a beautiful, blessed place to be. Much more work to do so make sure to follow us and see updates, videos, pictures and all around shenanigans from the 5 stones crew!

See you there, bright and early!
Busy day picking, packing and delivering 70 lbs of Apricots and Blackberries for delivery to
If you haven't had the chance to swing by yet we highly highly recommend visiting them at 195 Elm Ave in Auburn for all sorts of local organically grown goodies!
To the man who shows our daughter exactly how she should be loved (and sets the bar sky-high for any future suitors) , who amazes me in every way possible – seriously, is there anything you can't do? 😍
You're an incredible example of hard work for our son – clocking in at your 'day job' and then coming home to help manage the farm like a boss 🚜 and still manage to always find the time to love on us all so well!
And let's not also forget your magical ability to fix anything and everything – you're basically our family's personal superhero. If dad can't fix it, can it really be fixed??
Thank you for being the rockstar husband and father that you are. We love you to the moon and back!
**New fruit at the farmstand**
We've got Apricots and Blackberries picked fresh this morning that will be available at the farmstand. 3325 Gladding Rd, Lincoln. If you would like to place a personal order for either of these just shoot me a message!
We *MIGHT* also be at a market next weekend, we should have enough fruit, so stay tuned for location, day and time posted later this week!
As many of you know, we dove headfirst into the orchard life a year ago with big dreams and little background experience. Coming into the 2nd year we are collecting a few curveballs – our early season fruit isn’t quite what we envisioned. Our cherries are only hitting 2% of their usual production, and our peaches are on the tasty but small side.
So, what’s the game plan? We’re switching gears and shaking things up. This season, you'll find us at fewer markets than planned. Instead, we’re focusing on farmstand sales, personal orders, and bulk sales to our friends who can and jam. Fingers crossed, we’ll make it to some farmers markets by mid-late summer.
We've always kept it real with you about the rollercoaster of first-generation farming. We knew there'd be twists and turns, and here we are, embracing the ride. Without a big book of secrets to rely on, every day is a new chapter – and we’re so grateful to have you along for the journey. Stay tuned for updates on ways to order!
In other farm news, we have a few more chick hatching rental kits going out over the next couple weeks to families for summer fun! And, this morning we dropped off our hardest working (and probably underpaid) employee aka our amazing son, for summer camp for the next 4 days. 🤣😭 Its already a little too quiet without his energy around here!
After watching the show Alone Skills Aidan was inspired to make a fort by making his own clay bricks from our property. He made a mold, mixed clay hay and water together and voila! Clay bricks. We'll see how they dry tomorrow.
Well, we were picking this morning hoping to make it to our first market tomorrow but it looks like we're still just a little early in the season. If you would like to purchase the cherries and peaches we picked this morning head on over to the farmstand, 3325 Gladding Rd. Fingers crossed we'll get to market next week and officially kick off this season!
We have 2-3 hidden overachieving apricot trees in one of our back fields. Looks like we're kicking off the season any day now! You can now find these surprise apricots at the farmstand at 3325 Gladding Rd in Lincoln.
In a few weeks we should have and more coming that we'll be able to take to market. Stay tuned for our upcoming posts!
If I had any doubts about this little side farm project they would have been smashed as soon as I started receiving some of these sweet texts from 'mama hens'. I get the coolest job in the world of reliving the hatching joy with each family over and over again.
If you want to reserve your send me a message and we can get you on the list ❤️

The very first Easter taught us that life never ends and love never dies. We have so many reasons to celebrate today! The first will always be Easter. But for the first time ever, our very own farmer Ben gets to celebrate his birthday on the same day as Easter!
Ben, thanks for being you and for everything you do! I couldnt list it all if I tried but know that we are so so thankful for you! Heres to an awesome birthday that we are 'definitely not celebrating' 😉
Exciting news is hatching soon at our farm! Get ready to join us on an egg-citing adventure as we unveil our newest venture. Can you guess what it might be? Pictures might reveal a few clues! Drop your guesses below and stay tuned for the big reveal! 🌟
Recent photos from around the farm! There's probably a MILLION photos in my phone from all the blooms but I only included 2 of my favorites.
Photos also include 1 cute duckling, a tired Ben, a cocoon, a young man and his tractor and finally some tree house builders.
*Exciting NEW product coming out of the farm* Our son and his dad have been hard at working making these new rustic style wooden egg trays. Egg trays are a durable and reusable way to keep your eggs safe and accessible.
Use them on the counter for your farm fresh eggs or in the fridge for eggs that need to stay colder.
These trays are selling for $25. Reach out to me for local orders or to receive the Etsy link for an order from another state.
You can also find the egg trays at the
Farmstand located at 3325 Gladding Rd in Lincoln.
119 Trees pruned today! Being the one day we could prune this week Ben and I spent 5 hours clipping tree limbs 😵💫😵💫 Once we catch up on the maintenance pruning we are hoping this process will go a little quicker in the future.
Most of our trees have a lot of suckers (branches growing from the root system) some as large as the tree themselves. Suckers combined with dead branches and a general lack of past pruning has made each tree a unique puzzle to prune.
We've come to terms with the fact that we will most likely not be able to prune all of our trees before fruit season but it will be a challenge to see how many we get to.
On a side note, one beautiful blooming tree in this field deserves to have its own motivational poster. "Bloom. Even when the rest of the field is still dormant." 🤣
Today is a very special day on the farm. We get to honor and celebrate the birth of the strongest member of our family. She is a powerhouse and a force to be reckoned with both for our family and the farm operation. She keeps the chaos headed in a single direction and keeps things on track. She's also the brains of the outfit lol. We love her and couldn't do any of this without her. Happy birthday Carrie!
Another busy sunny day yesterday. 27 more trees pruned, tractor work to keep the grass down, and little man on the weedwhacker again.
But the highlight of the night?? fresh crab. I got some fresh live caught crab to make and eat on valentines day but we were too excited and cooked it the dane night. Best and sweetest crab meat we've ever tasted! He's at the Fowlers Market in Lincoln today and every Sunday if you want to get some of your own!!
Yay for sunny days!! Finally getting back out into the fields to do some management and season readiness. Today the kids and I had some field trip fun and then the afternoon was for farm clearing. Ben and the little man mowed and weedwhacked close to 2 acres and little miss and I pruned 23 trees, we are almost done pruning one whole field! Its the smallest one but hey! Only the largest 7 fields left. 🤣
Heres to a few more sunny days before the rain comes again 🌞
Its been a little quiet on our end over the past week. As some of you know, we took over the orchard May 1st, right as our first fruit of the season, cherries, were ripening and have been swept up in a tornado of starting a business, learning the ropes of farmers markets, fixing and repairing our whole house, cleaning up the land and learning, learning, and more learning.
Its been an awesome and also exhausting process and we are nowhere near done, but with most of our pomegranates sold and finally having the house mostly at a good point we are slowing down a little and trying to take a moment to really soak in what we've accomplished in such a short amount of time. Including enjoying the beautiful fall colors around the property.
This winter we can hopefully share some before and afters of what we've renovated and changed. We have a lot more research to do over the winter with some big set for this next year.
So, keep an eye out on some fun videos coming your way and some fun new programs being revealed over the next few months.
Pomegranates are dropped off at the farmstand and ready for you to take home!
Farmstand located at 3325 Gladding Rd, Lincoln.
**Friends, family and followers**
Unfortunately we will likely NOT be selling our pomegranates at a farmers market this year simply because we do not have any other fruit to sell alongside it.
Our poms are officially on sale for $4 a pound. We have smaller ones ranging from 1/2 lb, up to larger 1.5 lb pomegranates. If you are interested please leave a comment or direct message me with how many lbs you are interested in and we can work out a way/time to get them to you.
Remember all of our fruit is All Naturally grown. We use no synthetic pesticides, fungicides or fertilizers.
Guys... we gotta talk about these pomegranates. Some of these I swear weigh 2+ lbs. We have been waiting and checking and waiting some more and checking again AND we think they are finally ready!!
Stay posted for ways to get your hands on some!!
