5 HEART: UNI VS NEBRASKA GAME PREVIEW

The Panthers and the Cornhuskers both have begun the 2024 football season with wins against their opponents. The Panthers are ranked #1 in the Missouri Valley Conference. However, Nebraska also got ranked this week after the 28-10 win against the Bufflalos on Saturday. Nebraska is #23 in the AP Poll which is the first time since 2019 that we have been ranked. Week 2 rankings from College Huddle have Nebraska up to #4 in the B1G conference, just behind Penn St., USC, and Ohio St. So how important is this game on Saturday against the FCS school? Of course, the W is always important but what we are looking at for Saturday specifically is how well Nebraska's Defense will stop the run with elite Runningbacks. UNI has racked up 386 rushing yards in their 2 games. Nebraska vs Colorado Recap: What is Holding Anyway? Targeting?
We will be talking about the Nebraska-Colorado game and, in particular, how the rules are supposed to work. The second half was the worst half of football I've seen in a very long time and that was largely due to the officials making themselves known and being clear that they wanted to influence the game. We're going to talk about what targeting is, what holding is, and of course what happened in the game, especially Ty Robinson because I think Ty Robinson should be getting a lot more national buzz. He should be getting on a lot more award lists. The man is a force of nature and I want everybody to start talking about him.

Corn Nation Overreaction: First Half Catapults Nebraska Football to Victory
Well, we are back live less than twenty-four hours after the conclusion of an exciting 28-10 Nebraska win over the Colorado Buffaloes. Greg, Hoss, and Big Game Jake will discuss Greg's trip to Lincoln and dining with Hoss. These two friends, fellow Husker fans, and longtime broadcast buddies finally met in real life for the very first time. And to top it all off, the Huskers handled the team from Boulder. While the second half was, dare we say, a bit of a dud, the first half was such that it built a 28-0 lead and the defense stood on business in the second half to five the Huskers a 2-0 record and propel the team into the Top 25. But there were some really remarkable moments offensively and defensively in the contest. Greg's first time stepping into Memorial Stadium and it could not have been written any better. Shadeur Sanders vs. Dylan Raiola, who has the better Quarterback? One is a Senior who has mastered his craft, the son of the mighty 'Prime Time'. The other is a 5 star Freshman phenomenon who just happens to be a Husker since birth. The RED LETTER rivalry. Aug. 1982, the Buffaloes HC Bill McCartney announced Nebraska as a rival. He wrote 'Cornhuskers' in red letters on their schedule which was posted in the team house. UMMM, what did we ever do to you? Heart Attack Awareness with Cardiologist Dr. Lou Kohl - TONIGHT AT 8 PM
Cardiologist Dr. Lou Kohl will join me tonight. Dr Kohl is my cardiologist, the man who saved my life just over nine years ago. On August 21st, 2015, I had a Widowmaker heart attack, and I was dead for over 20 minutes. I have a brain injury because of this experience. I realize we all want to be talking about football. I feel like I wouldn’t be doing my job as a survivor if I didn’t make other people aware of what it’s like to go through a heart attack and what it’s like to deal with heart problems. There is a massive amount of anxiety, anger and depression that comes with a heart attack. There’s a good chance you or someone you love will deal with this during your lifetime. Look at these statistics from the CDC: Heart disease in the United States Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups.1 One person dies every 33 seconds from cardiovascular disease.1 In 2022, 702,880 people died from heart disease. That’s the equivalent of 1 in every 5 deaths.12 Heart disease cost about $252.2 billion from 2019 to 2020.2This includes the cost of health care services, medicines, and lost productivity due to death. Heart attack In the United States, someone has a heart attack every 40 seconds.3 Every year, about 805,000 people in the United States have a heart attack.3 Of these, 605,000 are a first heart attack, and 200,000 happen to be people who have already had a heart attack.3 About 1 in 5 heart attacks are silent—the damage is done, but the person is not aware of it.3 We will discuss, from my side, what it’s like to go through and survive a heart attack and from Dr. Kohl’s side, what people overlook at about heart attack - common misconceptions, etc.

5 Heart: The Elite Leaders for Husker Football 2024 Season
Tonight on 5 Heart, Greg, Minnie, and the finest group of truehearted Chatterfields will discuss all the current events of Husker Football. We will discuss the takeaways from press conferences with players Micah Mazzcua, Mikai Gbayor, and Turner Corcoran. As well as Special Teams Coach Ed Foley and Head Coach Matt Rhules' key points. Everyone got acquainted with Deshaun Foster as UCLA’s coach, as he had a particularly memorable first speech at Big Ten Media Days. What are the expectations for UCLA football? Nebraska and UCLA meet in November in Lincoln! Will anyone from LA actually come to Nebraska in November? (Other than the football team and staff because they’re under contract.) What are the expectations for UCLA men’s basketball? What do they think about joining the Big Ten in basketball as compared to being in the Pac-12 after all those years? What other sports besides the two major sports should everyone else be aware of with regards to UCLA joining the Big Ten? What is most shocking about UCLA joining the Big Tens? Cal and Stanford went to the ACC. I’m glad they didn’t join the Big Ten. I don’t think they care about football, and I think everything about making money going forward is going to be about football.
