Set Yourself Up For Success With This Post-Workout Routine When it comes to recovery, your post-workout routine is key. From properly warming down and stretching to replenishing, refueling, and rehydrating, what you do after your workout is crucial to crushing your athletic goals. Here’s what the experts recommend.
Let’s identify our strengths! So we can harness them & use them to garner greater success in our aspirations and outcomes.
When was the last time you reminded yourself of how awesome you are? The last time you recognized how truly talented you are? Let’s use these powers for good - to increase our self efficacy (the belief in ourselves).
I wanna know: what are you good at?
You Can't Actually Be Addicted to Sugar Yes, it tastes great, but it's not a drug
Yes everyone is different & has different needs - but can we please stop listening to this made up (yes, some random white dude made up this number) & harmful calorie intake. Can we start being nicer to our bodies & minds? If you see 1,200 kcals as a suggestion (I’m looking at you and ) that should sound the alarm 🚨 There are ways to achieve your goals without extreme harms.
The key to productivity is tapping into your flow state. Here’s how Losing yourself in a task helps you to get more done — and there’s no need to wait for inspiration to strike, says violinist Diane Allen.
See the difference?
Trying to do everything at once doesn’t prove anything to anyone except that it’s more difficult & isn’t set up to generate success. Doing all the things all at once, taking bigger steps all the time can be exhausting. It’s okay to take smaller steps, to give yourself a better chance at being successful & properly building habits & forging your path.
I’d like to thank the Academy 🏆
But in all seriousness, I’d like to thank the people in my balcony who cheered me on, who understood why passing the NBHWC exam was so important, who supported me every step of the way, who were so patient while I studied (for months). Y’all are the best. This was easier because of you all. Shout out to the entire team who instilled so many words of wisdom & are currently sharing in my joy. & to my closest friends (you know who you are bob Saget), to my professors & cohort. I love you guys. Cheers to the next learning adventure.
Just a little Monday March reminder. You got this 😉🥳

No ifs, ands, or buts. You can eat when you’re hungry even if it’s not yet noon (lunchtime), even if you just ate a meal (maybe you didn’t eat enough), even if it’s 8:00 P.M (your body doesn’t shut down).
I would love to know who came up with these rules. 🤔 I’m picturing a bunch of people sitting around a table, listing as many ways as possible to make people miserable. And I unfortunately feel like I’m not too far off.
We don’t give our bodies enough credit honestly. We are made to believe that we need a set of rules and a bunch of devices to tell of when to eat. You’re allowed to eat when you’re hungry. Full stop 🛑. You’re allowed to trust your body when it tells you it’s hungry. Full stop 🛑. If you don’t get to eat dinner until 9PM, your body isn’t going to shut down. If you have already eaten dinner and you still feel hungry, it’s okay to eat until you’re satisfied.
It’s understandable to be confused because we are always told conflicting information. We are also told not to trust our bodies. Sometimes it might take work, but it is very much possible to rebuild that relationship again.✌🏽
What’s on tour to-do list for this year?
Being kinder to yourself?
Setting boundaries?
Just moving forward?

A great article from The Nutrition Tea:
A highly suggested read. People often use the term "addiction" when it comes to food. But it's a feeling not an addiction.
“While it can be a challenging process, when people stop restricting and food loses that extra charge, the feelings of compulsion and loss of control tend to ease up over time” - Marci Evans, RD

“there’s no evidence that food is a chemically addictive substance..
When food is restricted, our brains are brilliant enough to create an even stronger reward when we finally do eat those forbidden foods.”
Food addiction is a hot topic. A dietitian sorts the facts from feelings Speaking about or diagnosing addiction to food — as opposed to drugs or alcohol — can be controversial. Here's what you should know about the theory of food addiction and the foods we tend to consider "bad."
