Our 5th graders took their final walk through the halls of LSES today as their peers celebrated them. We also cheered our students on as they headed home to begin summer break!

Our 5th graders took an overnight field trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee! Students explored many tourist attractions and learned a lot about the mountain resort city. Our Lion Cubs were excited to take their first trip away from home!

Congratulations to our LSES students for participating in the Girls on the Run Atlanta 5K marathon! Under the guidance of Mrs. Siddika Jackson, our girls practiced for months to run their very first 3 mile race. They all finished strong and showed their LSES PRIDE!

¡Felicitaciones a nuestros estudiantes de LSES por participar en el maratón 5K de Girls on the Run Atlanta! Bajo la dirección de la Sra. Siddika Jackson, nuestras niñas practicaron durante meses para correr su primera carrera de 3 millas. ¡Todos terminaron fuertes y mostraron su ORGULLO LSES!

Our GMAS Spirit Week was a huge success! Students in grades 3-5 have been working hard to prepare for their state assessment next week, so we finished the week with a pep rally! We are ready to ‘Level Up’ next week on our test!

Parents, please be sure to have your child at school no later than 7:30 so that he/she can be well prepared to test.

LSES students are participating in a variety of activities for Black History Month. Today they visited a live wax museum. Students dressed up and shared presentations on many African-American notables. We are very proud of their hard work!

Our staff enjoyed a Mardi Gras themed luncheon today, and many students joined the festivities!

Congratulations to our January Perfect Attendance winners! These lucky students were the recipients of prizes that included free admission to Sparkles, a Barbie styling toy and a 4K drone!

We had 189 students with perfect attendance for the month of January, and they enjoyed frozen treats during lunch.
