Growing up, I thought money,getting the things my "friends"had,and having a lot of friends would make me happy. Now don't get me wrong, you do need funds to pay for your necessities. Trying to keep up with the Jones is not it. We'll ALWAYS have wants. I've learned personally that 1st and foremost is my relationship with God and learning his truths. Next is my husband, children, a roof over our heads,utilities paid, and clean clothes. Last but not least,quality over quantity in friends. Don't take for granted the "little" you have, but find joy in the simple things!

Hello, Good morning, Good afternoon,... Depending on what time you're reading this 😉. I hope your week has been nothing but smooth sailing so far! I tossed back and forth wether to do this post. Most don't want to read a long drawn out paragraph 🤷🏽‍♀️. However, I decided for those of you that do like to read sure, why not. For much of my life I have always seen myself as the victim. It's taken years, family and a couple stays in the hospital for me to realize that I don't have to stay a victim. By no means am I pass this aspect of life, I still have to work very hard to keep seeing myself as someone who is worthy and beautiful.
I moved to Georgia in 2014, shortly after my paternal grandmother's funeral. My siblings and I decided that we wanted to make a change, do better in life, and leave the current living situations that we were in. Let me tell you it is not easy living with family and we went through many rocky periods, and still do. However, I wouldn't trade them for the world!!
Approximately, 6 years ago I lost my job, which started a down hill decent. Next we lost we our home, and finally, I lost my car. I went into a deep depression, and gained about 40 lbs. This put me at 300, the biggest in my life. My family became "white noise" as they repeatedly tried to help.
Slowly, and I mean snails pace, I started to listen to them, friends, and most importantly I prayed fervently to Jehovah.
I have tried different jobs recently. I became a bus driver (right 😂) school and coach. I started a weight loss journey. For those who don't know, I have osteoarthritis in my hips, back, and knees. Again I had to swallow the pill, and listen to my "little sister" AP Young Blog, and use a walking aid. I struggled with this because I felt, I'm not old... Well let's just say a hard head makes a soft behind!
I've now lost over 60+ lbs, and walk with a cane. Age doesn't matter, so stop telling me I'm too young to use one, arthritis doesn't ask you your age or permission. I am doing my best to get healtier so I can have hip surgery soon.
Last but definitely not least, I started selling jewelry with in the past year. It's been a learning curve. I want to dedicate more time to family, spend more time with my Mom, who was recently diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, and do more in the spiritual aspects of my life.
I still have more growth to experience, but I appreciate those, family and friends, who've been on this rollercoaster ride with me. I'm not done yet...!! 💞💚💞

As I age (gracefully 😘) each year, I think about where I've come from, where I'm going, and the people who are in my corner. I set so many goals, I overwhelm myself. So I'm going to start with three:
1. Patiently Listen
•I have the tendency to "listen" with
an answer.
2. Take better care of my mental and
physical health.
•My family and my business will not
have the best me if I can't function
mentally or physically.
3. I'm leaving my comfort zone behind!!!
