Every time I post my inbox fills with scams. Then I have to take the time to block and report them. Scammers, before you bother messing me there are things you should know. 1. I’m not sending you a dime. Ever. Never ever ever. 2. I know a few reputable business coaches, so that won’t work either. 3. This is not the first time I’ve run a business so I already know how to file paperwork. 4. If you’re complimenting my Etsy you should actually look at it. I monitor the numbers. If they haven’t gone up I know you haven’t looked. 5. I will report and block you. I also spread the word to my friends on Facebook that you’re a scammer.

I promise that I’m not falling for your deceptions, so please save us both some time and move along.

What do you think? I sold it before I finished the shawl. This sparkling yarn is beautiful. I love the drape of it.

Which is your favorite of my new Hobbii yarns?

What do you think? I’m finally back to work on Mom’s Roses. She started this when I was in Elementary School. I’m now working on the join then I’ll surprise her with it and see if she likes it. Only 61 more to join then the border. I’m grateful I can crochet a bit more now.

What is that? This technique is called filet crochet. Using open spaces and more solid areas, a picture is made. What do you think the picture will be? Hint I have four in my house.

Crochet items care tips:

1. Make sure you wash and dry as directed. This will insure you do not shrink or melt the fibers.

2. If you snag the fibers don't panic. Pull the fiber through or if it's not in a place you can do that you can insert a hook or something small through the stitch and very gently rub back and forth. Sometimes this will put everything back in place.

3. Do not use hangers. They will stretch the fabric and sometimes leave marks.

4. Unless it's a large item, lay it flat to dry. If it's too big like a blanket use a low heat gentle cycle on the dryer.

5. When you can, lay your item flat to dry. When you lay it out using your hands press it out a bit into the correct shape.

6. If your item is a natural fiber I suggest using a gentle cycle and a gentler detergent. If you are washing acrylic, gentle is still a good option, but it's much more durable.

7. Do not burn a snag! I get asked this a lot. If you're lucky and it's acrylic yarn you will melt the item. Not good. If it is natural fiber then you'll burn a hole in it. Best not to chance it at all.

8. Dyes on natural fibers will fade more then on acrylic. Make sure you either wash them separately, or at least use a color catcher. You'll want to check for colorfastness before pairing a dark colored sweater with your favorite white shirt for example. Not a great deal of dye comes off usually, but I have heard of incidents from other makers.

9. Crochet is not as delicate as many people seem to think. Obviously you should be mindful of the fiber content and use the other tips, but a crocheted item should last. So wear the special item. It should hold up to normal wear.

10. Contact me if you have a problem. Sometimes I can fix even a major issue like if you tore a hole in an item. No matter the question or problem I'd love to help you out.

I hope you’re having a wonderful day. With the help of PT I am starting to crochet again! This is as far as I’ve gotten since Tuesday. I’m using a new pattern, new yarn, and I can only crochet a few minutes at a time for a limited total time. There are loads of pretty items in the shop though if you’d like to see what I’ve made. Please tell me how your day is going and what you think of this project.

I am not dying eggs this year. I do have yarn to dye though. What are you doing?

On a scale of 1-10 how cool is this yarn? It’s made from 100% recycled silk from saris. The colors are really this bright.

03/05/2024

So this happened. I’m not allowed to crochet for at least ten days. Good thing I have new stuff to share. Feel free to message me about anything. I’m not totally shut down I can still work on pictures and things. I’m still here for you all.
