The man behind the scene, asks for no credit, yet none of what I do could happen without him ❤️ he brings the old vintage radios back to life after I’ve made them pretty, he carries the heavy things, and may grumble a bit but never complains. A HUGE Thank you, to my husband ❤️❤️

I’m not painting today.. today is all about the Fascinator!
The Kentucky Derby is on my bucket list.. to wear a beautiful dress and matching Fascinator. Have an Authentic Mint Julep, and bet money on a horse I know nothing about, but it has a great name. One day I’ll get there ❤️🏇🏽
But because I can’t, this weekend my friends and I are having our own Derby Party. Fascinators and Polos are the dress code. Today the paint brush is put down and the glue gun is out!

Someone asked me this week why I do not post more often on this page. Then proceeded to let me know that by posting more will then gain more page traction, in turn bringing me more business. I politely thanked them for the advice and explained why this page is “hit or miss” as they called it.
The thing is, I choose not to.
Im a full time Mom, Wife and Nurse. I have a full time job as a Registered Nurse, and some days, to be completely honest, I am mentally, emotionally and Physically drained.
I chose to paint. I chose when I paint. I choose when I post. I don’t need to. When painting becomes a “job”, for me, it will be time to give it up.
I love both my career and my hobby. Beverly Jean, named lovingly after the memory of both of my Grandmothers- two extraordinary women, is and will always be my space to share with you what I have created, not to gain “fans”, as those women taught me to value my worth. Notoriety is not the goal.
I made this page not to drive up business, not to gain traction. I made this page to showcase my creations, to not flood my personal page.
I love that this page has gained hundreds of followers, but I would have been good with 5. I’m grateful for the business I have received, and it has been more than a privilege to have repeat customers, as well as new customers. This speaks to the art and to my heart.
So, in light of the coming week being Nurse’s week, I share with you this little piece of who I am, and why I don’t “try harder” to create content. I love painting, it brings me joy, it calms my mind when it’s racing. And sometimes I make a buck or two, but I don’t NEED to.
Thank you, to those who follow without judgement. To those who give the “likes” and “loves” and shares! I appreciate you ❤️
In the coming week, Thank a Nurse. Tell her/him their work matters. Let them know there’s a world full of people who need them, because I promise, every single day we work there’s something that happens or the people we care for, that take a little piece away from our hearts. Be kind.
And when you’re thinking about passing judgement on someone else’s content, because it’s not to your standard, just be kind.
🩺Happy Nurse’s Week (May 6-10)
❤️ Tiffany

On this date 92 years ago, acclaimed Mexican muralist Diego Rivera and painter Frida Kahlo arrived in Detroit in order to get to work turning the Detroit Institute of Arts' stately-but-bland Court into something special, "The Detroit Industry Murals." Rivera and Kahlo arrived in Detroit by train at Michigan Central Station.
The murals depict various scenes of Detroit manufacturing, specifically, the auto industry. When the 27 panels of frescoes opened to the public in March 1933, the pearl-clutchers were nto happy. The Detroit News even ran a front page editorial calling the work of art “psychologically erroneous, coarse in conception, and to many women observers, foolishly vulgar.”
Edsel Ford, chairman of the Detroit Arts Commission at the time the frescoes were painted, said, “I am thoroughly convinced that the day will come when Detroit will be proud to have this work in its midst. In the years to come, they will be ranked among the truly great art treasures of America.”
He was right. The murals were designated a National Historic Landmark in 2014 and are visited by more than half a million people a year.

I just can’t forgive myself for this one! So I’ve been really into vintage lamps. Either to redeem or to just clean up and let their original beauty shine.. this afternoon I ran across this gorgeous, original, glass beaded bo***ir lamp. I LEFT HER THERE 😭 so I tell my SIL who runs back to save the day (and the gorgeous antique lamp)…. GONE!
SMH.. this is why you NEVER pass up those finds. EVER

I can’t even believe what I found in this gem! It’s a 1929 Lowboy Grigsby Grunow majestic! It is made with burl walnut front panels 😍
I found the original advertisement for this piece from 1929, and even then- the year of the beginning of the Great Depression, these hunks sold for $137.50! The seller of this boy had no idea what she was giving away!!
This beautiful lowboy is going to be completely redeemed to all of his Art Deco era glory, and available for purchase at the Indie Art & Craft Jam on May 19 🐝🎪🎶🎨
I am so excited to announce that I have been invited to be a participating Artist at this years Indie Art and Craft Jam! 💃🏻👩🏻🎨❤️
Sunday May 19th at Goudy Park in Downtown Wayne
Food Trucks, Live Music, and so many incredibly talented vendors!
This past weekend my Husband and I went to see a show at The Fisher Theater in Detroit. The building itself never disappoints, but check out all this midcentury inspiration!! 😍
💕 Thank you!
My friend shared this with the caption “well, good for her” 😂😂 I couldn’t have felt this meme anymore
Michigan is expecting a lot of snow in the coming days… but I am on a mission to find the perfect piece for an idea I have!

Who remembers the antique set of furniture I ruined a couple of years ago, before looking up their worth? Well, I dug this one out of the corner of the basement and am going to try to make something beautiful out of her 💙 stand by 😍
I was just telling a friend a day ago about what paint to use for her cabinets she is wanting to redo. I explained to her how mine are in need of touch up, so off to Pinterest I went, and fell in love with this 😍😍
I ❤️thrifting! Beverly Jean could not exist without it, but I absolutely love love love finding the finds!! Today I convinced my furniture mover (aka Hubby) to come along for a quick trip to the local antique store. I scored this adorable Wine rack and can’t wait to put paint on her 🍷🎨🍷🎨
Have a safe and Happy New Year! I am excited to see what this coming year brings! I am already planning out new projects, thinking ahead to the vendor events at artisan markets, and looking to find a space for my pieces again 🎨🐝
Wishing you all the very best of what the new year will bring 🎉💙
One of Bailey and Tyler’s big gifts.. I didn’t have time to finish it just yet, but I had to share the work in progress 🎨🐮 (please like and follow my page Beverly Jean Redeemed Decor )
