Hey butterflies! Did you catch any of my hair talk on my story this week?? It was meant to be this long thing about what I do with my hair in the 5 days that I don't wash it. But the truth is I barely do sh*t to my hair 😂 part of that is because my cut and color is poppin n I feel like my hair doesn't need much. The other part is that is I truly believe that we don't NEED to be "put together" to walk this life and do our work, to be accepted or to be loved. Made a quick video on how to curl/wave your hair with the flatiron! This is my go-to for styling, even in the salon. The best part about it is that the flatiron smooths the hair as it curls so there's no need to blow dry or smooth before you curl. The slower you move the flatiron down the tighter the curl will be, give it a twirl with your finger n you're good to go! Finish with hair spray or texture spray for a fun beachy look ☺️
Here's a video on the proper way to curl your hair☝🏼️. Most people think you start from the end and wrap the hair around the iron but you actually start at the root and work your way down! Hold for 10 seconds and let go. Leaving the curls to cool before you loosen them will allow for longer lasting curls. & the size of the iron and section of hair will determine how lose or tight the curls will be. Finishing with shine spray and hairspray. PS. for those of you who aren't sure what time of curling iron to get.. I've had my 1 inch Hot Tools iron since I started beauty school 6 years ago!
