Join Camp Journeys on November 4th for an educational tour of the LA River! We will participate in a guided tour by FOLAR of the LA River and study the bio diversity on land and in the water.
The event is from 11:30- 2:00pm.
Lunch, snacks, and beverages will be provided.

Join us on July 15th for a ballet expo class with Angelina Meany! This class is going to be so much fun! All are welcome !
Angelina Meany began her dance training in Boise, ID, where she studied and performed with the American Festival Ballet Company. She attended Loyola Marymount University, where she attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance. She was a principal dancer with the LA contemporary dance company Donna Sternberg and Dancers. She has taught ballet at many LA area studios including Zeal studios, Your Neighborhood Studio, Danceline LA, The C Spot, and Westside Academy of Ballet, in classes and in coaching private lessons.
Angelina taught for many years on the dance faculty of Pasadena City College and at Santa Monica College, where she taught contemporary dance, all levels of ballet, and beginning pointe.

We are in this together and each of us can make a difference. Our daily actions impact our environment in so many ways. Doing our part can be as little as not using a plastic straw to as big as making speeches at the UN conference ( ) 😊 Let’s do this together and continue to appreciate and care for the earth 🌍 which sustains and maintains us!

Come meet Devon on Saturday! Devon is the creator of Grillin’ for the People! He started grilling more often Awhen away in college and wanted to build and share pieces of his Leimert Park community with others and feel connected to home while miles away at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Devon believes that our relationship with land and food as Black people across the Americas is complex and one of his goals is to help us understand this history and future through barbecue, and conversation. Grillin’ for the People offers catering and pop-up food services, as well as workshops, classes, and presentations.
