🚫Sleeping with makeup on can cause premature aging, acne, dry skin, inflammation, and irritation!⁣

🚫Hyaluronic acid must be applied on damp skin. Think of HA as a sponge. It retains water, so if it’s applied on dry skin, it will absorb any remaining moisture that’s already in the skin, causing even more dryness. ⁣

🚫Over exfoliating can cause skin barrier damage- therefore causing flakiness, inflammation, and acne. ⁣
⁣
🚫Applying retinol on damp skin will allow for deeper absorption, which will cause irritation. Use on completely dry skin for the best results. ⁣

🚫Not using spf can lead to skin cancer, premature aging, and hyperpigmentation or melasma.⁣

These are common alcohols that you may come across in your products. But there are big differences. ⁣

❌ Bad alcohols are going to be drying, and irritating to the skin. ⁣
⁣
✅ Good alcohols, also known as 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐬, are used as emollients and thickeners in skincare products. They are not irritating and, in fact, can be beneficial for dry skin.⁣

𝐆𝐥𝐲𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐢𝐝: Is and alpha-hydroxy acid derived from sugar cane. It’s an exfoliant, and is the smallest & has the lowest molecular weight of all AHAs, meaning it penetrates skin the deepest. It helps shed dead skin cells & reveals smoother brighter skin. ⁣

𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐬: A form of vitamin A. They accelerate cell renewal, to make way for new cell growth. As well as fading pigmentation & scarring, they reduce fine lines & wrinkles.⁣

𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭: Works similarly to hydroquinone. It minimizes the production of an enzyme needed to produce melanin in the skin & has anti inflammatory benefits as well.⁣
