Southern Zephyr Stables

Southern Zephyr Stables

Southern Zephyr Stables is a small farm in Pensacola Florida where horses are cared for and life is a bit slower.

Southern Zephyr Stables also is the home base for my art sold in my Etsy shop, Zephyr Stables Designs.

Okey dokey I have a new computer so I'll be posting blog posts and some of my art pieces on here so be on the look out. I also want to say Southern Zephyr Stables is relocating down to the Ocala area of FL so my time is spent packing and cleaning right now but I will try to post regularly.
Also the handsome guy at the top of the page crossed the rainbow bridge in August but was too good looking not to add here. He fit perfectly! 🥰

I’m so sorry I haven’t been on my page. My computer died and still trying to get the funds to get a new one. I’ll be back I promise!

A Tale of Two Water Tanks Let me know if you've heard this one: a draft cross mare and a OTTB gelding walk into a bar, the mare orders a pitcher of beer knowing she can just relax and sip all evening, the gelding orders a shot of tequila knowing he can down it quick and instantly get the buzz he needs. Horses are never this....

Warmer weather is here and we start thinking about getting beachy with our horses! I have some bracelets I have created with a dolphin or they can be made with sea turtles. I have a bridle charm with a sweet starfish for your star pony! They are made of repurposed hay twine and the bridle charms have an easy clip to clip right onto a halter or bridle. Ask about custom designs; let me know what you are looking for!

I'm very excited to be collaborating with Shirley of Portrait Palace. She and I will be posing my equines for her clients so parents can get a memorable photo of their child. Shirley will be managing the kiddies and I will be managing the horses. If you need some photography done for an event or for a portrait contact Shirley at [email protected] or at (850)490-7160.

We wave a fond farewell to our sweet resident Mandy. Mandy's mom is leasing her out for the show season. It's sad to see her go but we know Mandy will perform her best in the show arena and we hope to see her at the end of the season. Hugs Mandy!

Welcome to my little farm!

Welcome to Southern Zephyr Stables! My little farm which has a fruit orchard, paddocks and a barn to house horses is blessed with playful winds that sweep down from the tops of the trees and across the road to breathe extra life into our home. These winds are how Southern Zephyr Stables got its name.

Apart from boarding horses I have pears, figs and pecans that should be ready for harvest pretty soon now. Farming an orchard and selling produce is pretty new to me so I’ll be learning as I go.

I have always had a passion for art and have loved sketching, painting creating art in general. Because I try be as kind to nature as possible it dawned on me I could create using old hay twine, old building materials and even tires! Pretty common place items on a farm. With that in mined and my love of art I have been creating horse bridle charms, dog collar, charms and key chains out of hay twine. I’m painting other items; all farm related. Some of these items are even custom designed.

Thank you for visiting Southern Zephyr Stables here on FB. I hope you have an amazing day!
