💡Did you know any of these? Its wild how we always want to fit into norms and boxes to feel "normal". I think its ok to have a reference of what is expected but we also should take it with a grain of salt because some of the information we have now related to periods is either very outdated or not specific to our genetics. Many of the cientific studies are very much centered in the typical white human, therefore it turns out we rarely fit into what they have told us is normal. Another thing I want to highlight is that everything in your life will affect your body and your menstruation. What you eat, how you live, your stress levels, your upbringing, your condition of living & working, absolutley everything so even in your same household you may see differences. 💡Tips and tricks to keep your pads super duper clean 💡I want to make sure that you know these are just tips and you don't have to do this at all if you don't want to. No one wants extra work, I am just sharing what could help you if you were the type of laundry freak like me that likes to wash things a bit extra. Again, all of this is optional. Your pads will be completly fine if you just throw them in the washer without doing anything in my video. 💡Anywho, I do love zote. Zote bar is my go to but my type of washer cannot sustain it so I have to use the liquid zote both white and pink. 💡Did you notice my dry strip? I make those too and you can find those in my website. You can hang as many as you want in a train of pads or get an ikea octupus hanger that has like 16 clothing clips. 🌸 Wondering how to keep your pads fresh and clean? Here are 3 simple steps! 1️⃣ Once you're finished using your pads, toss them in the washer. Yes, your washer is well capable of washing off your menstrual blood. Pro tip, if you prerinsed your pads its ok to mix them with your clothes. Its up to you know if you mix them or not. I personally switch depending what I am washing. 2️⃣ Add your favorite soap (no softener, please! It can affect the pads lifespan) and hit start! 3️⃣ After washing, air dry for longer use, or toss them in the dryer if you prefer. You got your Jess Period Pad yay! Now whats next? 1. The most important thing you have to do once you get your pads, is wash them in the washer! I've included wash and care instructions for your very cute pads but in case you missed id, do not add softener, do not bleach and do not iron. Resist the urge to add softener! 2. Dry thesein the dryer or under the sun. Once fully dried they are ready for use. 3. On to the where you will bleed ->you will bleed on the colored part (gray side is the bottom layer and that should touch your underwear).You will feel when your pad is getting full and ready to be changed 4.After you take off your pad you will need to wash it before you reuse it 5.After you have washed all of your pads make sure to store them in a clean space like with your underwear, bras or other clothing. 💸💸💸 Perior Products are a necessity not a luxury 💲Why are period products so expensive and why are organic brands even more??? I don't have the answer to that yet, but in the meantime lets talk about how period products have moved away from being identified as "femenine hygiene" to ➡️ "menstrual discharge collection devices" with the hopes that it brings more clarity that there is no luxury in this product but rather a need very similar to water and oxygen that are essential for human life. ♻️Reusables are a good way to save up specially for heavy bleeders that double stack on products.
