Flat weave kilim. 150 years ago it served as decorative insulation for sides of a tent for Nomadic groups who traveled through most of North Eastern Afghanistan and Pakistan. It was used inside, away from sunlight so its colors are still vibrant. It's narrow width indicates it was made on a very portable loom that was folded up every few weeks as it moved to better grazing areas. It's fibers are sheep, camel and goat. Excellent antique condition. It's been in our storage for 20+ years. It was said to be 120+ years old when we acquired it. SIZE is 22 x 182 inches (1.10 x 15') Makes a beautiful runner.
