In hotter months, it’s tempting to put on the AC round the clock or plant yourself facing the nearest cooler. Although keeping your body cool in scorching summers may seem like a difficult task, it turns out there are plenty of ways to beat the heat without racking up your electric bill. Here are a few tips to help you and your home remain cooler in summers without air conditioners:

Open Doors and Windows Strategically

Monitor and open up windows and doors when outdoor temperatures are cooler than indoor, it will allow the cooler air inside. During summer, temperatures may drop during the night. Allow the fresh and cooler air inside by opening the tops of windows at night.

Ice and a Fan

Put a large bowl with ice and place it at an angle in front of a fan. This simple trick creates a cool, misty breeze that feels great on hot days.

Install heat-reflecting film on windows

In the summer season installing inexpensive heat-reflecting film on windows that face the sun will keep your house cooler and reduce glare and ultraviolet rays but they will also reduce the amount of sunlight that enters through the windows.

Cook Strategically

Using your stove or oven will add unwanted heat to your kitchen. Try to limit your cooking to the early morning and plan dinners that don’t require heating up or can use a crockpot, Instant Pot, your grill, a rocket stove, or cook outside to still have delicious meals by not heating up your home.

Turn off heat-generating lights and appliances

Regular light bulbs are radiate a lot of excess heat, so switching to low or no-heat bulbs like compact fluorescent light (CFLs) or LED bulbs is a simple way to keep your house cool in the summer.

“Welcome to the joys of motherhood!”

Did you ‘just’ bring your cutest little munchkin into the world and are already being bombarded with questions and pieces of advice? Well, congratulations on becoming a mom!

Motherhood is a beautiful journey which helps you discover a different shade you never knew you had. Despite of getting a full-fledged question-answer book from numerous people around, your baby is still going to help you figure out things you literally had no idea about.

But not to worry, all moms share a similar story and so do I. Some of the “hidden secrets” my baby helped me discover are:

#1. S**t Just Got Real

‘SH*T’ is the first word which comes to our mind when something goes wrong thereby bearing a lot of importance. Ever thought something you say so often could become something you see often? Well, hey there mommy!

When I first became a mother, I actually pondered as to how such a little baby could produce such huge amount of p**p. So, to help my little one digest his food better, I took him out for walks and started feeding him less quantity at small intervals.

#2. The Cutest Alarm Clock in The World

It often happens that the things we have in abundance are the ones we take for-granted the most be it love, money, food or SLEEP! I remember when I just got married how my husband would treat me with ‘breakfast in bed Sundays’ and how I could go off to sleep anytime I wanted to without a worry. Since I hated the sound of alarms, I never kept any. But, as soon as I became a mom I could feel my sleep slipping away from my eyes and all the alarm clocks in the world incarnated as my little angel.

So, to keep up with her schedule and give rest to my eyes, I synchronized my sleeping schedule as per my baby’s. Now, we literally go to sleep together and get up together.

#3. Hide and No Seek

A calculator lags behind in counting the number of limitations that are imposed on pregnant women. I am a crazy chocolate lover but was advised not to have any when I was expecting. So, I thought to myself that I can wait and have cocoa 9 months down the line and started saving every chocolate I ever received. Now, I have a 2-year old baby and 2 bags full of chocolates both cancelling out each other.

So, whenever I get time and my little one is asleep I hide in my closet and try to stuff as many candies in my mouth as possible in one go.

#4. Your Safety is in Your Own Hands

Our babies get obsessed not just with us, but with everything about us. My little one when born had a similar obsession with my hair, which grew to such an extent that at one point she could do without me but not my hair! She would pull them and hold them while sleeping and soon there would be more hair on the floor than on my head.

So, I started tying my hair in a bun and put her favourite toys in her hands whenever she got a little fidgety, instead of my hair.

#5. That Glow Though!

“Natural beauty is the best” is what we say but fail to follow with respect to our babies. When my little one was born, I became a baby-shopaholic and would grab anything and everything that had the word ‘baby’ written on it or that would look good on my son. As a result of my increased obsession with beauty products for my baby, by the age of 2, he had double the amount of beauty products that I had by 29. However, with the changing lotions and powders every week, I could see allergies on my baby’s body.

So, I got in touch with a paediatrician and started using only those products which he recommended. Now, my little one’s product range has dropped down to two but nevertheless, my hunk looks as handsome as ever.

Ever heard of the proverb ‘too many cooks spoil the broth’? Well, they do. Everyone is going to give their expert opinion on how to raise your baby. But nobody knows your baby better than you and ultimately whatever you choose for your little one is going to be THE BEST.

“You made a tiny human, congratulations!!”

How to take care of a Baby 😐 | Must see before you have a baby😂

04/08/2021

Here are some life hacks I have learnt over time:

Do it. Just do it.
Thinking of venturing into something new? Want to learn a new language? or maybe perhaps you want to start working out?

Start it this year. This month. This week. Today. This hour. Now!

Procrastination will only lead you to be wishing you had started it 1 month ago, 1 year ago, 5 years ago or even 10 years ago.

2. Take more photos.

Nothing brings back fond memories like a good photo, even long forgotten memories. These days with most smart-phones having a decent camera (and if you’re reading this, then probably you own a smart-phone) take a minute to take that quick snap of the current moment. You will cherish it in the future.

3. Learn to say ‘Sorry’

Saying sorry doesn't necessarily mean you’re in the wrong. Sometimes it means you value your relationships more than your ego.

4. Find your gas tank cover qu**ky

Pulling up at the gas (petrol) station? The little arrow on your fuel gauge indicates which side your gas tank cover is on

5. Eat healthier - without changing your diet

Want to eat healthier but cant resist that big juicy steak? Eat the healthier portions (veggies etc) on your serving first, they may fill you up thus eating less of the other stuff

6. Hold on to your pens

Helping out a friend or classmate with your pen but want it back and you don’t want to ask them? Keep the cap. Most people would return the pen than go away with an unclosed pen

7. Fall asleep faster

To fall asleep faster once you hit the sack, follow the 4–7–8 rule.

Breathe in for for 4 seconds. Hold it for 7 seconds. Breathe out for 8 seconds.

Repea—zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

8. Prevent tears while chopping onions

To prevent crying while chopping onions chew gum. If you don’t have gum, wash the peeled onion before chopping it up.

9. Get a firmer handshake

Do yourself a favor and get one of these - plus they are pretty cheap. Do exercise with it and soon you’ll have a pretty firm handshake. The ladies will love you for it too ;)

10. Know if that girl gave you the wrong number

When someone gives you “their number”, read it back to them in the incorrect order. Chances are if they correct you, then they gave you the right number.

Or just call their phone at the moment.

11. Catch that wrong text

Realized you’re sending that text to the wrong number? Quickly put your phone in airplane (flight) mode. You can then delete the message from the conversation and turn off flight mode.

12. Prevent your nudes from haunting you back in the future

Sending nudes? Crop out your face from the picture. This will prevent majorheartache and embarrassment in the future in case they are leaked. Well, unless you like that kind of thing.

13. Get free booze

Going to a party but don’t have a lot of cash? Just say you've never been drank before. You’ll get offered at least a few shots. Good luck if you’re a guy.

14. Compliment others

Get yourself into the habit of complimenting others, be it that “Hello, you look beautiful” in the morning or that “Congratulations! ” . You’ll feel a lot happier and you might also get a few compliments back

15. Answer questions on Quora!

Perhaps you’re not a good writer yet, or you don’t know how to express yourself well, just get into the habit of answering question. I know I’m trying to.

Yes, you might get those keyboard warriors and grammar police bashing you - but with time you’ll be quite impressed by yourself!

What are the best suitable activities for my 18-month-old babies ?

8 months is an age when the kids have grown a little stronger and are able to do motor skills more at ease. Whether be it throwing a ball or using of clay. So involve activities which enhances their motor skills. Also they are ready to pick up new languages also. So just the right time to introduce them to more languages. Also they can start holding a pencil, so probably give them rough sheets of paper to scribble and draw.
Take them to the park where they can play with sand. Its really good for children. If kids are hyper active then take them out at the park for longer hours. Once back home they will have a good meal and sleep well too.
Please introduce them to reading. This is the age when u have to read out stories to your kids. They will learn to understand and soon they will also try reading. Learning from their parents.
The things to do at this age can just go on and on...

Work from home moms !

How to make money from home with no investment ?

There are multiple ways to make money from home - or specifically, make money online. What you do will really depend on how much you want to make, what your skill set is, how much time you have to dedicate to it and so on.

For example, for a small amount of money, you may want to join online survey sites. You won’t make much at all, but many people make there first few dollars online this way. One “all round” site that I like is Swagbucks because you can make money just by using their search engine. This isn’t for making a real income, but just a bit on the side.

For many, people get started online by freelancing. You can write blog posts or articles for people - or maybe you could get into proofreading or editing. A place I go to find freelancers is generally upwork.

Starting a fiverr gig is a great way to get started, because they have gigs for everything you can think of and guaranteed anyone would be able to set one up. While gigs only start at $5, you can soon add extras and then your sale value gradually will go up. It’s good to get into this now, as competition is rising all the time.

Reviewing websites - some sites pay you to check out other peoples websites and answer questions on them. This one site User-testing, that I’ve recently reviewed - pays $10 for 20 minutes work. You won’t qualify for jobs each day, but it’s a good way to build up a little side income.

You tube - set up your own channel, you can monetize it right away with google adsense. This is a slow road however, as you will need thousands of monthly views to earn a decent living from it. Many professional “youtuber’s” will suggest making a video every day. You can get started with just a we**am however, plenty of people make reasonable money without doing any flashy editing - it depends what your channel is about. Did you know a huge majority of you tube videos aren’t even monetized!?! Some people are missing out on a whole lot of money there.

Self publishing on kindle is a big one now, while competition is increasing, there is still so much opportunity self publishing and even more opportunity when you know what you’re doing and can market your books well. Many people will not even write their own books, but outsource the writing to save time.

Affiliate marketing: If you set up a website or blog surrounding a passion or interest and drive traffic to that site, there are various ways you can earn, but one of the biggest is via affiliate marketing.

This is where you earn a commission for suggesting or mentioning products or services - if someone buys something after going through your link, you earn a commission. It’s very simple because you don’t have to deal with any postage or packaging, no customer service, no returns - you’re just the middle man and as you build your site over time and gain authority, you will build up your income as you go. Affiliate marketing is a newbie friendly way of learning how to make money online and a good starting point

How can I be more positive about ?

By building , , and with your partner while avoiding excess negativity.

Communication is vital because even someone with a similar personality is not able to read your mind and vice versa. It is important to spell out expectations early on, to see if you two will be able to be on the same page about things or not.

If a partner does something you enjoy, express and let them know how much you liked doing something. If they do something that upsets or annoys you, it is also important to tell them, but be careful in how you word things when telling them so it doesn't come across as you accusing them of intentionally hurting you or as you speaking badly of them as a person.

You should always have some degree of respect for your partner even if you don't agree on everything they say or do as a person. Everyone deserves basic respect. However, if your partner's moral compass differs so much that you feel like you're unable to respect them as a person, you should probably not be with them. It is best to be with someone who either has similar morals or at least has some that you slightly disagree with but are able to do so respectfully.

Along with communication and respect, there should also be trust on both ends. This is something that should grow as the relationship blossoms, not something that decreases.

The best way to develop trust is to be truthful when a partner asks questions about whereabouts, who you're with, etc. You don't want to put yourself in a position where someone could come and contradict what you've told a partner.

You should also avoid hiding your phone screen from your partner unless absolutely necessary (ex: shopping for surprise gift, reading confidential email, etc.). Now this doesnt mean you have to let them go through all the contents of your phone. It simply means not hiding the screen when you are on your phone in front of them and letting them see who's calling you before stepping out of the room to answer a phone call.

You should also be with someone who is able to trust and not be overly jealous. You shouldn't have to constantly prove your innocence as long as you are being truthful and not secretive.

Another important thing is avoiding negativity. It is best to focus on the positives of both your relationship and your life. If there is an issue that needs to be brought to light, you should do so in a way that uses constructive criticism and gives your partner an to , not by accusing or nagging.

Best Ways to

Change your relationship with .

I know it sounds rediculous, but ask yourself before eating something: Am I really hungry? Or can I go on longer without eating something unnecessary? Don't eat just to eat. Eat to fuel yourself. If you are stressed or sad, refrain from food as that may be your problem.

As for what to eat, I will just say what is most important and point out a couple answers that are misinforming,

Stay away from sugar: Sugar will not keep you full, but only further increase your cravings. It may be hard in the beginning, but cutting sugar will suppress your appetite and you will end up eating less calories every day.

Calories in Calories out: Behind every fad diet is calories in, calories out. You have to be eating less then you are burning. You can find out your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) from various calculators online. I would suggest the one from IIFYM Macro Diet Plan for Fast Weight Loss - IIFYM

What are the best ways to lose weight?

Regarding Meals: 6 Meals a day will only keep your insulin high, storing fat. I would highly recommend eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Try not to have snacks. If you are further interested by this lifestyle, I would check out Intermittent Fasting (IF) a method of weight loss and a healthier body.

Best of luck in your transformation!

Which type of milk is best, powdered milk, dairy milk, or cow milk?

Powdered milk or dried milk is a manufactured dairy product made by evaporating milk to dryness. One purpose of drying milk is to preserve it; milk powder has a far longer shelf life than liquid milk and does not need to be refrigerated, due to its low moisture content.

Milk powders contain all twenty-one standard amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, and are high in soluble vitamins and minerals.

The typical average amounts of major nutrients in the unreconstituted nonfat dry milk are (by weight) 36% protein, 52% carbohydrates (predominantly lactose), calcium 1.3%, potassium 1.8%. Whole milk powder, on the other hand, contains on average 25-27% protein, 36-38% carbohydrates, 26-40% fat, and 5-7% ash (minerals).

Now comes to Cow milk.

The only difference in Cow milk and Buffalo milk is fat content.

Cow milk contains less fat than Buffalo milk and is the one of the healthiest milk you can have.

Although powdered milk contains nearly all nutrients, but still fresh milk of either cow or Buffalo has more nutrients and also delivers strength to body (Since contains originals ghee contents (fat) )

The 10 best foods for babies

There are lots of healthy, baby-friendly foods out there, but these 10 recommended by doctors and nutritionists alike stand out from the pack. From vitamin-rich fruits and veggies to meats and beans loaded with protein, these superfoods are full of essential nutrients, reasonably priced, easy to prepare, and delicious.

Many are also favorite first foods. Before introducing solids, talk to the pediatrician about your baby's readiness for solids, and which foods to introduce and when. Then introduce foods one at a time, waiting at least three days after each new food to watch for any allergic reaction.

Avocados

BabyCenter moms are all about avocado as a first food. This buttery fruit-vegetable is rich in healthy unsaturated fats that help boost brain development. In fact, the fat composition of avocados is somewhat similar to that of breast milk.Serving ideas: Mash avocado with a fork, or make baby guacamole.

Bananas

Known as a good source of potassium, this grab-and-go fruit also contains vitamins B6 and C, calcium, and iron.

Serving ideas: Make banana and mango puree. Or, for your little one's first smoothie, puree banana and peach chunks with whole-milk yogurt.

Blueberries

Blueberries are bursting with antioxidants. The deep, brilliant blue of these berries comes from flavonoids that benefit your baby's eyes, brain, and even urinary tract.

Serving ideas: Blend or mash blueberries well and swirl a spoonful of the juicy purple puree into yogurt, or top silky coconut milk rice pudding with blueberry compote.

Broccoli

This cruciferous vegetable contains fiber, folate, and calcium, and may even help ward off cancer. Introduce your baby to broccoli's bold flavor early, and you'll be expanding his tastes and encouraging a lifelong love of green vegetables.

Serving idea: Steam until soft, cut into pieces small enough for your child to eat safely, and then chill. Steaming takes the bite out of broccoli, and some babies prefer the texture and taste when it's cold.

Lentils

Beans and other legumes pack lots of lean protein and fiber. But unlike larger beans, little lentils simmer into a pleasing mush just right for baby bites. They're also one of the cheapest healthy foods you can buy.

Meat

Lack of iron can cause anemia. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends meat as a first food because it's such a great source of protein, zinc, and iron, especially red meat and dark poultry meat. Plus babies absorb iron more easily from meat than from iron-fortified cereals, another common first food.

Serving ideas: If your baby is new to solids, try our easy turkey or chicken puree recipe. As she gets older, introduce new flavors with chicken curry with green beans and zucchini or shepherd's pie.

Prunes

Whether you call them "prunes" or "dried plums," these humble fruits don’t sound glamorous – but they're soft, sweet, and full of fiber. Your baby may suffer from constipation when switching to solids, as it's a big change for her system. Add pureed prunes to her diet to aid digestion and keep things moving.

Serving ideas: Serve pureed prunes alone or mixed with other foods, such as oatmeal, cereal, or applesauce, for a naturally sweet treat.

"Fathers are men who dared to place the world's hopes and dreams in their children."

01/15/2021

Why my 3 years old kid asks for same bedtime story every night?

There is a fantasy world in the story. The child likes the story where fantastic stuff happens. But, a fantastic land also means unknown things and therefore anxiety in a child’s mind. So when once, a story is heard, the child knows the progress of the story line and the anxiety is lesser. So the child likes to hear stories, but does not want to deal with the anxiety.

Don’t worry, this will go in a couple of years. But there is a way to deal with this and make sure that the story is not creating anxiety. Say the story as it is every time, but change the ending. Change the very last part of the story. Maybe in the story of Hansel and Gretel, the bad witch realizes that what she was doing is wrong and she becomes a good witch, instead of dying in an oven. That was an example. Change it and make sure the child understands that change is not bad. He/she will be ok soon to listen to new adventures.

All the best. :)
