This is one of the two home raised longhorn steers that we will have available. Each one was halter-broke as a calf and has the color, disposition, conformation, and will have horns for DAYS! These fellas will be good lookin’ for the next few years as some pretty pasture decorations before they hang on your wall as some gorgeous horns!

Asking for advice: thanks to no rain after July 3rd and a December storm, without a January thaw and a trip back to corn stalks, I’m looking to be 170 bales short of making it to grass for cows. Was just curious what could be some good feed stuffs and ration to mix with the hay. Distillers and corn stalks? And how does it compare price wise to $200/ton hay. Have a feed wagon so grinding everything is doable. Do not have any silage this year and don’t believe I could find any to buy. TIA

The next two generations moving right along. The replacement heifer on the right will look and milk like her cousin on the left. We have a group of 10 weaned, vaccinated, and ready to improve your herd heifers looking for new pastures.

We’re in the midst of calving. I caught this beautiful sight earlier in the week.

It’s always a great feeling to restock our freezer with our own beef! We actually ran out of beef a few months ago and have been buying excellent beef from the local meat market, and have the utmost confidence in retail beef as well. The convenience of a freezer full is hard to beat though!
