I remember looking at this room before it was touched; knowing that I needed to erase my perception of what I was seeing. I always imagine the room as empty, as a clean slate. Such a great project for great clients who gave me design freedom with their basic requirements. This room also has a wine wall that I designed. From the custom rug by @kylebunting, to the custom sofa; every detail supports each other. The circular chandelier spirals over a fractured designed coffee table that shares a circular rhythm; that in life circles are timeless and universal. A cue I feel we should notice from design principals for our own life’s journey.

Custom onyx Wallpaper installation for fab clients in entry by artist @brenda_houston ! No one knows the work designers can go though with custom projects, except us designers! . So much coordination with color matching, pattern scaling, drawings, back and forth with my fab wallpaper installer who helped me with decision making when I had to reselect adjacent wallpapers not once, twice, but three times to the covid pandemic fallout of material shortages, freight delays, and no stock. I had to lay out all of this kitchen backsplash tile to #patternmatch. Crazy amount of work. Slab wasnt available in time frame. Plus this was thinner and much easier to install…FYI…this is a puzzle project. But well worth the effort. You need extra time and a little extra tile to pattern match successfully. Tile installers will charge extra to do this.
