Our meeting with District 5 Councilmember Katy Yaroslavsky at Temple Isaiah was a success! Joined by Temple Beth Am and Temple Emmanuel, we had an insightful conversation led by One LA leaders.
Ms. Yaroslavsky answered questions about Metro rail safety and homelessness, and agreed to continue an ongoing productive relationship with One LA-IAF. We look forward to continuing to work with Councilmember Yaroslvasky and other elected officials across Los Angeles to improve our communities.

This weekend 100 One LA Leaders from South LA, San Gabriel Valley, Mid-City, and Downtown Los Angeles gathered for the Recognizing the Stranger Leadership Training. Over the course of two days, we modeled breaking down isolation and how to build relationships across diverse communities.

In Los Angeles, parishioners worked with IAF leaders to advocate for the expansion of the California earned income tax credit to undocumented workers with young children.

On Sunday, May 15th, One LA-IAF leaders showed up in full force to celebrate public life! 350 leaders from across Los Angeles County met with candidates running for Los Angeles City Mayor and County Supervisorial District 3 races. We presented our issue agenda on housing, mental health and health care access, and the Los Angeles economy. All candidates agreed to working with One LA -IAF leaders on our agenda. Congratulations!
