This was a very interesting moment in my parenting journey. My 6 month old rolled into his stomach for the third time ever while my dad came by for a visit. My father was so excited about it that all he wanted to do was help him out of the position. Watching the clip you’ll notice he attempts twice and I quickly stop him and bring him back to observation mode. “Let’s see what he does next.” We had so many great conversations about the learning that was happening in the moment. I asked my dad why he feels so eager to help him, he replied because he is struggling. I replied, struggling? He's developing many skills and looks content to me within the movements. He's not crying; he's moving. Such a wonderful moment of learning together alongside my 70-year-old dad.
