“Back in the days when there was talent like Charlie Tuna…and radio stations had a healthy budget to promote the station.
What a concept!”
Thanks Jeffrey Leonard!

Clip from Bob Saget’s podcast in April 2020.
Bob Saget talks with Charlie's youngest son, Bryan Ferguson in this small small clip about loss, his father, radio, Jack Benny, podcasts, personalities, and why he started his podcast: 'Bob Saget Is Here For You'. He was such a sweet man, we will miss you, Bob.
I literally can’t believe this… he tweeted just 15 hours ago how stoked he was about the future. RIP Bob Saget. Honored to have seen him at the Comedy Store and be on his podcast in 2020. I reminded him of this time he met Charlie, talking radio, and life. I’ll create a clip from it later, just still in shock.
RIP Betty White. We were so lucky to have you. ❤️

Do you agree? 😄
“I got to work with him - photographing special events he hosted for KRLA - in the 1980's! Here's a fun moment when he was on hand to celebrate Johnny Hayes 25th year Anniversary along with Casey Kasem.”

Ever seen the 1970’s movie, Rollercoaster? Charlie was in it!

Today we honor and celebrate the legacy and memory of Charlie Tuna (Art Ferguson) - he would have been 77 on this day.
Here is a recent clip from my new podcast show called The Local Show Podcast streaming local out of Ventura, CA (you can help support the show by liking and subscribing on YouTube and wherever you get your favorite podcasts). You can get to know me a little better by following the show, and you can even hear a little of my Dad’s voice come out sometimes when I talk and laugh.
In this clip, I talk a little about how Charlie got his name with our guest Jarvis Leatherby of the local metal band Night Demon and share a never before seen video of me visiting my Dad’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame the night we had announced his passing 5 years ago.
Much love to you all and thank you for your kind words over the years - Bryan. ❤️
A happy birthday to Sir Elton John!

A blast from the past! Happy Monday everybody - check out this note from a co-worker friend of mine who knew Charlie on the radio. He searched for these photos for months! It's always awesome to hear how my Dad helped entertain others back in the day. My friend writes...
"1969 Picture at KHJ radio with your Dad awarding my mom check for $1000.00 and all paid trip for 6 weeks in 11 countries.
This was quite a time for our family. My mom was mother of 7 kids and worked her butt off nonstop. When she won this trip, my Dad (LA County Sheriff Dept) and her made this a six week vacation leaving all the kids at home.
Of course my oldest sister was 17 and my mom had one of her friends check in on us every other day or so. My youngest sister was 2 and she stay with family friends. So it left 6 kids at home ages 8 to 17.
We had a hell of a good time with not much supervision. Days were different back then. I look up your dads history at KHJ and took a walk down memory lane. Wow that was my family radio station back then and I have fond memories around this event.
I attached another picture the day my mom and dad went to airport with family and friends seeing them off at LAX. Guess which kid is me? Hint Not Standing. :)"
