We'd like to share with you an appeal from our friend, Geoffrey Manasseh of Malawi, who heads one of our two marches there. He has indicated a need for phones, cameras, and any audiovisual devices in order to help better document their marches and interfaith activities and to promote their cause. Certainly, funds will help to purchase these, but he indicates that these are hard to source locally and it would be best if people would be willing to donate their cameras or used mobile phones that have been wiped of any personal data.
Geoffrey says: "[I]f some people have smartphones, computers, video and photo cameras that they want to donate please let me know so I may talk to URI friends who may plan to visit us. With this plan please make sure the first user cleans off the securities and information so we should not struggle to reuse them. as well make sure it has a space to fix the network card since I have seen some donated phones with no place for cards."
We have a US based person who is willing to receive and collect these donations and will bring them directly to Geoffrey. You can send them to a US based friend of Geoffrey’s with whom he is doing indigenous peace research together under "African Peacemaking Database organization". His name is Seth Kinzie and he has confirmed his willingness to support the process.
To donate tangible electronics such as phones and cameras, please contact Seth Kinzie at facebook.com/Kinzie or [email protected], and arrange to send donation items with him.
Meanwhile, if you would like to send funds, you can reach Geoffrey by email: [email protected]
Many thanks for your generosity as we want to help all of our friends that comprise the IRTPJ/IMPJ community.
We also hope you enjoy the presence of Geoffrey's feline friend.
Sincerely,
Dr. Arik Greenberg

*Our statement on Israel and Palestine*
Please see comments for the IRTPJ’s statement on a ceasefire in Gaza, and the ensuing peacebuilding that is necessary for a lasting peace in the Holy Land.
"People have been asking us what we are doing with respect to the tragic situation in Gaza and Israel—and even what can be done. Some have asked us to issue a statement about the ongoing violence. I need to confess that we have deliberately refrained from issuing a statement until we are sure that we have the right words to say. Emotions are much too high right now, and far too many people are entrenched in their own subjective opinion of this highly nuanced situation to issue such a statement carelessly and hastily. Our reticence to pronounce and proclaim is not due to timidity, but owing to a desire to get it right." Read more and please consider IRTPJ on

Dear Friends,
Please consider attending this Peace walk in Los Angeles, on Saturday, May 13th, from 11 AM to 1 PM, organized by our friend, Ms. Poupeh Mahdavinader, peace activist from Iran.
She describes herself and her work thusly:
Peace Road 2020
Hello, my name is Poupeh Mahdavinader and I’m from Iran.
I have been a volunteer social worker for 32 years since I was 17 at a Non Governmental
Organization (NGO), www.mercyforall.org
my goal is to help improve the living condition for the people of Iran and the rest of the world ,
especially for kids and youth.
I have a Master’s degree in psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in French language translation.
I am an ambassador of peace and friendship, the first world traveler woman not only from Iran
but also from any Muslim country in the world.
20 years ago, I had a journey around the world by bicycle which lasted a year and half. My
motto was” in the name of love, friendship and global peace”
I had 3 goals on that journey:
- The first was gathering money for orphans and people in need.
- The second was to communicate with the youth around the world to learn
about different cultures of the world we live in.
- The third was to search and observe the signs and manifestation of God in the
world
I climbed to Kalalpatar Peak (5545m), upper than Base Camp of EVEREST on Himalayas
in the middle of that journey.
8000 kilometers by bike and I was backpacker in 5 countries on the journey around the
world by bicycle.
The book of that is published and the documentary has also been made, the name of
both is “The Path to Peace”
At the end of that trip, I was chosen as a face of peace at the international youth peace
festival in South Korea by UNESCO.
In 2007, I tried to prevent Yahoo from sanctioning their account for Iran in US congress
and it was successful.
I received a medal of peace heroes by UNESCO in Paris for my peace activities. In 2020, I
had an interview with “Formidable Woman” magazine in America and I was chosen as
one of “9 global game changers” woman in the world.
I have had a lot of social & peace activities in my life.
Now, I have a new mission, a new world journey with the peace walks in every country
to create an international Peace Road in the world that I have named “Peace Road
2020”.
This journey has started 3 years ago on the International Day of Peace 2020.
I have already completed my peace walks in Iran, Turkey and Oman and now I’m in
America to do the same.
All my peace walks in every country are always planned to be between a monument of
peace and a historical symbol of that nation, I count and record my steps which is an
opportunity for the people to buy my steps and donate for the needy,
especially youth and kids of the world, I do all activities directly and under my
supervision.
I have used the funds raised for examples such as:
building freshwater piping infrastructure for 6 remote villages in Iran that never had
one.
Supported over 100 Afghani refugees as well as Iranian orphan families, I have more
than 200 children.
I have several planned peace walks here,
I will be meetings with the president of America and some people of influence here as
well as confirmation to have the opportunity to give speeches in the UN and U.S.
Congress
My message is not new, but its importance at the present time is due to the fact that
even in the most advanced countries in the world which had been the leaders in
kindness, peace and friendship, the tendencies of neo-fascism have penetrated into
their systems
and for that matter these tendencies separate people and led to wars.
Unfortunately, such matters paint a very critical perspective in the world
As a social worker that I have spent my whole life to help make other people’s lives
better and I have felt people’s pain with all my heart, I’m worried that wars in the world
are increasing and with each war it brings poverty, social unrest, economic hardship,
and world hunger.
My message is “People should plant the seed of love in their hearts and avoid war and
enmity”
in spite of all the limitations and weaknesses that peace advocates may have in front of
those with military and political powers
I believe that even small effects can have a huge echo and a lasting effect and not only
it causes the war like tendencies to be reconsidered and changed,
but we also can help to pave the path with more kindness and friendship, because “God
created humans based on his own nature”.
I am not an idealist, but I am sure that this work will echo in the human soul and will
have a lasting sound in the conscience and Psyche of people.
With all these considered, there are many people in the World that think by accepting
their own kind and rejecting the other races they can solve these problems.
I am very much against this way of thinking
I have stepped this path as an independent person without affiliation to religious,
political, ethnic, gender and racial groups,
and to maintain my independence I will not be a member of any group or organization
But companionship with all those who believe that love, peace and friendship with all
the people of the world is the only way to save humanity makes me proud.
No single person can achieve these goals and for that matter, no single nation can do
the same, my wish is to get the support of the American people and the people of the
world to join me in this good cause.
On March 25 ,2023, I was chosen as an Ambassador for Peace by Universal Peace
Federation.
Therefore, I invite you to join me for planting the seeds of love and friendship in the
world together.
Regards,
Ambassador of peace

On this day of Yom HaShoah we remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Na**sm. Seventy-eight years ago today, over 7,000 prisoners of the German N**i camp Auschwitz, including some 700 children, were liberated by the soldiers of the Soviet Army after 1,689 days of suffering.
On this International Day of Peace 2022, we wish you many peaceful moments in every area of life.
This year's theme by the UN is "End racism. Build peace." In what ways, large or small, can you further this goal, today and every day?
