Meet Jacob of the University Student Union (USU) Board of Directors (BOD) @csunusu_bod for this edition of Matador Spotlight! 🥳✨ He is the Chair of the BOD, where he along with the board helps develop policies, student programs and services at the USU while keeping the best interests of students. From initiating the USU Bookstore Grant to sending students care packages, Jacob’s advocacy will definitely leave a mark at CSUN. We want to share his story about his involvement at CSUN and how it has impacted his time here!
Meet Keiana of ARCS aka the Autonomy Research Center for STEAHM @csun_arcs for this edition of Matador Spotlight! 💫✨ She is a data analyst research fellow at ARCS, a NASA-sponsored transdisciplinary research center where students and faculty work on a variety of research and projects centered around autonomous systems, artificial intelligence and innovation. From a flight simulator to 3D-printed bone materials, ARCS has inspired Keiana to continue working with underserved and underrepresented students to make more space for them in STEAHM. We want to share her story about her involvement at CSUN and how it has impacted her time here!
✨💫Meet Julian of @csunama for this month’s Matador Spotlight! 💫✨ He is a marketing student who is an active member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), an organization that helps students pursuing marketing access to resources and events aimed to help them grow professionally. From coffee mixers with professionals to being with like-minded ambitious peers, AMA has played a significant role in preparing Julian for his career. Congratulations Matadors! We did it! Another semester in the books ✅ From all of us here at the University Student Union, we want to thank you for sticking around and joining us for the events we were able to hold both on campus and virtually. We are looking forward to having even more in-person events next semester and to seeing all of your beautiful faces! We want to congratulate all the graduates this semester and give a warm welcome to the new students joining us this upcoming spring. We have lots planned for you all! This month we are featuring Sama Kalaj, who is a mentor with the American Medical Women Association, an organization that supports women pursuing the medical field. Welcome back to CARNAVAL Day 2 with @obieats! Belgium Waffles originated from a 1958 showcase in Brussels, where they were introduced to North American. These waffles are thicker than regular waffles because they are made in a waffle iron with deeper grids! Get your own Belgium Waffles at More than Waffles in Encino. Happy Eating!
