D**E DAY LA is this weekend! Parking is not up to us, but we know it’s a challenge (who are we kidding, it's LA!), so rideshare, public transit and carpooling are highly recommended! Don't worry, we've got some transpo TIPS for you! • LOCATION: Sycamore Grove Park 4702 N Figueroa St. LA, CA 90042 I OPTION 1: Take the Metro! @metrolosangeles. Take the L Line (former Gold Line) to the Southwest Museum station. Then - like these cuties in our video - just walk off the platform, dance on down to Figueroa & you'll see all the beautiful D**es and Qu**rs in the park right in front of you. Don't live near the Metro A line? Drive to the Heritage Square A line station and take advantage of their free 72 hr parking, then just hop on the Metro A line for one stop to Southwest Museum station. OPTION 2: Rideshare with friends! There will be a designated rideshare pick up and drop off spots on Figueroa (in front of the park). OPTION 3: CARPOOL with your group! Very limited limited parking also available on the south side of the 110 freeway on S. Avenue 52. Park and use the pedestrian bridge and tunnel, which outlets behind the bandshell main stage area in Sycamore Grove Park. ACCESSIBLE PARKING: We have limited accessibility parking available on site, which operates on a first come, first serve basis. Due to City/Park Rules a valid ADA Placard is required. The ADA lot entrance is on Avenue 49 at the corner of Figueroa St. To ensure that these spaces are reserved for those that need them most, please ensure you display the appropriate permit. A warm @d**edayla welcome for our returning emcee and legendary Puppy Parade host @jyvonnehaskin!! 🐾💕 Jyvonne Haskin (she/her) is a Black q***r musician, session singer, artist and live performer who over the course of her career has performed with the likes of Lady Gaga, U2, Michael Bolton and even the Lipstick Lover themself, Janelle Monae!💋 When not making music, this #DopeAF Black.Boss.Bae serves as Executive Director for a Pasadena-based community gospel choir as well as supporting and advocating for other musicians via her talent agency and entertainment company. Jyvonne is grateful every day to roam this earth as a d**e and is beyond thrilled to celebrate 16 years of D**e Day LA as one of its MC’s this year, and to return as the Puppy Parade host for her 4th consecutive year in a row!!💛🐾 🕑 Puppy Parade starts at 2p sharp at the Main Stage!
