On Sunday, more than 400 children were provided with free backpacks and school supplies at JFSLA’s annual Tools for School event, organized by JFSLA’s Young Leaders, a diverse group of community-minded individuals between the ages of 21-40 who support JFSLA’s mission through volunteerism, philanthropy, and social events. Becoming a dad is a life-changing event, yet many new dads don’t have the support needed to help transition into fatherhood. JFSLA's New Dads Connect Program is stepping up to fill in this gap, providing fathers with a virtual program to help the dads better bond with their babies, adjust to parenting, and manage stress as they support their growing family.
