Arming every teacher, grocery bagger, pastor and priest and giving them sniper training is not worthy of a response. The 2nd amendment was created to ensure the maintenance of armed state militias under federal control, to squash anti-tax rebellions or insurrections. George Washington was the first to call out the militias to stop the peaceful anti-tax protests dubbed Shay's Rebellion. The original meaning and purpose of the militia acts are the exact opposite of its NRA rebranding. They have nothing to do with individual gun rights. The founders were far more afraid of anarchy than they ever were a central government. In fact, Fear of rebellion was the major motivation for a constitutional convention in the first place. A human being who values life would not sacrifice children and innocent people for a false-feeling of unbridled power. That is the definition of being possessed by evil. Some days you just need a little personal maintenance ….. Me, sans makeup and realizing I’m close to needing my roots done 😳, taking a much needed moment of self care yesterday. Me, getting ready to take a Sound Bath Meditation class….because right now I’ve got about a thousand plates spinning in the air and sometimes you just need a break before they all come crashing down. No worries, it’s 99% all great, it’s just a lot….. and this class helped bring me the rest, relax and reset I needed. We all need some care, whether self care or care with a professional / therapist or all of the above. There is nothing wrong with asking for help, it is the first step and sometimes both the hardest and most important. It took me a long time to realize that I was stronger, better, healthier when I asked for help, and way more stressed, anxious and out of control when I tried to manage it all by myself. As some might already know, things are changing a bit over here and it’s all for the better! We look forward to sharing more during the summer.
