Let the record show…. I am not anti-wheat!! Organic wheat berries with cinnamon, grass fed butter, pecans & a touch of honey or real maple syrup are a great way to break the fast. I cook them up in the crockpot.
What I am not a fan of is the highly processed, nutrient deficient bread & wheat products from the store. That stuff is ruining our gut microbiome.
Fresh milled organic wheat for homemade bread has been shown to actually have healing properties. And yum 😋

Are sugars & starches really all that bad? Unfortunately the answer is YES!! Glucose stimulates insulin release which drives energy into our fat cells and causes weight gain. Fructose causes insulin resistance which leads to:
heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, cancer & chronic metabolic diseases.
At least half of my clients want me to help them with weight loss. The answers are simple….. but that doesn’t mean they are easy. However, it all gets easier over time.

Cholesterol levels that are too low can cause mental health issues. All we ever hear about is high cholesterol.
