Eddie Lowery Off The Deep End Podcast
This veteran operated platform was created to promote talking through trauma instead of su***de.
Today is the single handedly the happiest day of my life. Today I got to hear the heartbeat of our first born.
I never thought I could be able to love something that is not walking, talking or breathing in its own.
I have been absolutely blown away by the emotion that hit me when I heard the little heart that is getting all of our attention.
I am very thankful that Rhiannon Lowery is blessing me with this wonderful gift 🎁
Life is beautiful.
I cannot wait to be the best father I possibly can be.
A beautiful day in the PNW

Wrapping up another Friday night on the mats with my Gi speckled with another persons blood 🩸
This journey is interesting.
Swipe right!
Ringing in the new with a feeling of overwhelming excitement about the future and acceptance of the past.
I never imagined being able to add the muscle back piece by piece after a crazy shoulder injury at a young age.
However it would seem that consistency and discipline had other plans.
The path to recovery from an injury is so much more mental than physical. Body image is defiantly something I struggled with upon loosing 30 lbs of muscle and throwing up a lot of what I ate due to my reaction of the medicine and depression. I am very pleased with the highs and lows of the journey to this point.
This year I will cross the 200 lbs line very quickly as I continue to learn from the best Jiu-Jitsu spot in the region and continue to eat and grow as my first child grows.
Setting an example for the importance of physical fitness is a top priority in the future as well as prioritizing a strong mental attitude fortified with love.
I cannot wait to walk around my house all night rocking my firstborn, until then I guess I will just continue to lift, eat and get dragged across the mats
🔥
Come join us at for No-Gi basics and see what the hype is about!
Congratulations to the champion for accomplishing 1,000 rolls this year.
I am so very proud to call you my friend.
Thank you for your service to our country and to the community 🇺🇸👮♂️🚔🚨
Jiu-Jitsu is a powerful tool to use and extremely valuable when it comes to our law enforcement officers.
Keeping calm under pressure and using the least amount of force possible can make all the difference.
I don’t always cry when seeing Santa but this year was the one.
Merry Christmas to everyone. From our little expanding family to yours 🍼👶
The only thing on my wishlist is what we have been planning on
A very proud moment the other day. Our brother Sam achieved his goal of 1000 rolls in 1 year.
As a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner in his 50’s he is a positive example of how great someone can become on the mats regardless of age.
As a LEO he is a great human being that values defensive tactics and keeping calm under pressure and that is someone that is priceless and needed to maintain emotional control and confidence in tough spots.
Wow! I am beyond express to see the growth next year as our brother goes back to back.
One of the coolest things I have gotten to do since offering to help out with classes is explain the mistakes I made in the night before after reviewing footage and looking up the proper way to do something.
To lead is to help those around avoid or follow the foot steps you leave on your path.
I am always eager to show up and learn from others and seeing the future of Kindred Jiu-Jitsu grow and become dominant athletes is something special to behold.
After class there was a special moment where I had the honor of being mentored by three brown belts about my journey so far.
We discussed the moves I have been trying lately and the importance of finding the balance between athleticism and control.
During my time at Kindred Jiu-Jitsu I have been very blessed to have so much experience and kindness surrounding me every night.
Being able to receive criticism and be coachable is one of the most important factors I have learned since starting my Jiu-Jitsu journey.
Coming from zero background in grappling to the mats has definitely been and uphill battle for sure however every single step has been a life lesson.
The journey is the reward.

Today I had a special experience.
A couple weeks ago I was asked to compete in a vs tournament
Not only was I very shocked to get asked to since I’m fairly new, I was also very nervous.
2 days after I sprained my MCL. I made adjustments to my training and braced up.
4 days ago I sprained my right wrist (which sucks because I’m right handed) when a 250 lbs man landed on it when I had a bad angle.
I made the decision to continue seeing as how I could bear some weight on it.
None of these were consequential in todays match thankfully.
I am very thankful for the opportunity to try something new and continue the journey.
Next year I may sign up for another competition.
1st match in the books.
