Reviva Repair
Refinishing of kitchen cabinets, tile, countertops, porcelain sinks; also bathroom tile, bathtubs, showers, countertops, vanities & sinks. Mobile technician.
Repair of bathtubs and showers. Esthetic & durable work, most jobs done in one day! Most repairs done in less than a day!
This customer had a outdated pattern on the tub surround that they wanted changed to a subway tile styled surround. We figured the old surround was a laminate, but it turned out to be paper board! There was black mold all around the bottom of the old surround. Needless to say, it had to go, and we were happy to help out.
Updating this very custom (45 year old )master suite bathroom for a client.
Really cool client. Three sinks. Going back to do fireplace surrounds next week. Wow!
From almond to bright white. Also had to reinforce and repair cracks in the floor of this tub.
Some tubs don’t need a full refinish, just some love and elbow grease. Art experiment that went very wrong on this one. After removing multiple layers of oil paints from the tub, I resurfaced the floor with some non-slip granules. Took around 3 hours and cost the client just $375.
First coat of green sparkle paint on guitar
Topcoat goes on next. Green metallic morph paint. Looks either green or gold depending on the angle. The black primer makes the topcoat “pop” better
This is really fun. Sean and I are building a Explorer-style electric bass guitar. The kit came with bare wood body and neck. This is how it’s going—three coats of primer so far, the red spots are some glazing putty to fill in some minor wood imperfections. Next is a coat of flat black primer, then two coats of green sparkle metallic “morph” paint, then two coats of clear. Gonna use a 2K polyurethane gloss/clear coat to protect the paint job. For the neck, we are doing 5 coats of polymerized tung oil for a fast, silky smooth feel.
Here is a client that wanted accessibility for his tub/shower, but didn’t want to lose the ability to use the bathtub as a tub. He chose a convertible CleanCut kit. He also asked for grab bars, a new shower head/wand, non slip coating on the floor, and drip savers at the corners where the tub meets the shower walls.
Here’s some close ups of tub refinishing (before and after). I had to strip and sand the floor of this one to resurface it properly. This was in a really cool updated condo on Capitol Hill. Tub is from the early 1960’s.
This customer is listing her condo in Woodinville, and her broker cringed when she saw her sink. In less than 4 hours, I got it looking fresh and presentable again.
This is…legit…the way the sun looked to the East this morning. No filter. It looks like an emoji, amirite?
Yep. Beautiful
Meanwhile, in Lynnwood…
It’s fun working on clawfoot tubs. This one was refinished before but since the tub wasn’t set in place level, water pooled and made the coating fail. Had to level it, fill a low spot, and recoat the floor.
Version one, or version two?
Chase caught a crab while fishing. Can’t keep it, unfortunately— out off season.
Saw the biggest moth I’ve ever seen in Washington state today. About 4.5” wingspan. Ceanothus Silk Moth, I believe, correct me if you know better.
Starting my next batch of hot sauce. Smoked jalapeños for a couple hours over fruit wood, added sweet onions to the fermenting jars. Should be ready in about a month!
This one was very rewarding.
Converting oak cabinets to white. Thanks for working with me, Weaver Painting.
Can you guess how many layers of paint were on this claw foot tub? And how old do you think it is? This was salvaged from someone’s back yard. you can’t guess!
I don’t blame them for wanting their blue tub/shower changed to white! I like the color blue, but not in this instance!!
Hard to believe this is the same bathtub. Really happy with how this one turned out.
Converted a bathtub to an accessible shower, and installed safety grab bars. This was a delightful and gracious gentleman for which I worked today.
This is what one of those Home Depot DIY bathtub refinishing kits look like after about two years. Sure, they’re cheaper than my services, but do you wanna have to redo your tub every two years? Not to mention that it took me 1 1/2 hours to strip that peeling paint completely off!
Updating this bathroom to this century starts with turning the tub bright white. Next, the contractor is putting in a new surround, new vanity, and new flooring.
Big chip on rim of steel tub, filled with polyester filler, then custom color matched the tub.
Very dirty tub transformed into a much better version of itself.
I enjoyed today’s job. My client had a claw foot tub that needed a refresh and a pedestal sink that had craze lines showing in the porcelain glaze. Recoated the sink and inside of the tub with Kohler White and sprayed matte black on the Pitt of the tub. The customer was very pleased with the results.
