These sessions help prepare athletes for the upcoming fall season by focusing on endurance, agility, speed training, footwork, and fun.

The game against Clear Creek has moved from Wednesday, August 28th to Monday, September 23rd. We are hoping to schedule another game for that week in August, and will keep you posted!

Hello Lyons Backer Families!

We are excited to announce an opportunity for our incoming 7th and 8th grade athletes to help prepare them for the upcoming Fall season.

Our Strength and Conditioning Coach and Certified Personal Trainer, Coach Jayme, will host a series of classes focusing on endurance, agility, speed training, footwork, and fun. These classes are age-appropriate and designed with the demands of the game of football and teamwork in mind. No equipment required!

Details:
4 sessions - Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning July 23rd and ending August 1st.
Time: 7-8 am
Location: Bohn Park multi-use fields (where practice is normally held)
Cost: $15 per class per athlete or $25 per week

Class is limited to 15 participants and is on a first come, first serve basis.

LBFC is open to all 2024 6th-8th graders. 5th graders may sign up after approval of coaching staff and parental agreement. Can’t wait to see you soon!

Day 5 and that’s a wrap! What a beautiful day for football 🏈 We started today with a game of 500 with water balloons for each grade level, then onto a few drills, ending with multiple two hand touch scrimmages. Thanks so much to everyone who joined us this week! We hope you all had as much fun as we did 🙌🏻

LBFC Day #4 was Combine day! We had a lot of fun testing our speed with the incoming 5th and 6th graders 💪🏻

First day of the LBFC Spring Clinic ✅

This camp is all about having fun, learning football in a non contact environment, educating athletes and parents about LBFC, and eating ice cream and popsicles. A reminder that participating in this Spring Clinic does not obligate you to participate in LBFC’s season next fall. Even though we’ve completed day one, it’s not too late to sign up and come out and have some fun the rest of the week! You can even sign up at the clinic itself through Friday. Come check it out!

The FREE Lyons Backer noncontact spring clinic starts TODAY through Friday for next year’s 7th and 8th graders. Meet us at the Bohn Park multi-use fields west of the high school at 4:30PM until 6:00PM. Next year’s 5th and 6th graders will join Thursday and Friday. Hope to see you there!

The Town of Lyons is hosting a spring football clinic as part of our Try-A-Sport Days. It will be run by volunteers from the Lyons Backer Football Club. Come meet the coaches and see the four team principles of safety, character development, football and FUN in action. This clinic is open to incoming fall 2024 7th and 8th graders for all 5 days, and incoming 5th and 6th graders that are interested in football (and their parents) are invited to attend and participate for the Thursday and Friday sessions. All participants will receive a LBFC T-shirt. Come join us in nurturing the future of Lyons' own Friday Night Lights! This clinic is FREE for participants. Sponsorship for this clinic comes from the Town of Lyons Try-A-Sport Days using funds from the sale of the Denver Broncos.
