From 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence, with festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues.

Early Bird Day is observed on July 1 and it is celebrated annually. This crazy day is all about being the first one to grab the best out of what is on sale. People go to shops, restaurants, and supermarkets very early in the morning to try to grab the best product, service, dish, and whatever else they can get their hands on. Some shops and restaurants offer special products or dishes on this day but only if you go there in the morning. So you must be a morning person if you want to make the most of it.

National Forgiveness Day!

Forgiveness Day is celebrated on 26 June. This day is not to be confused with Global Forgiveness day which is observed on July 7 and is actually an off-shoot of Forgiveness Day! Forgive and let go!!

National Swim a Lap Day!

Swim a Lap Day is celebrated on June 24 each year and it’s the ultimate antidote to the classic summer conundrum — how do I work out without working up a sweat and stay cool at the same time? To the ones for which this may not apply, it’s still a day for you, since swimming (or just floating) is fun for everyone! Since humans are not yet able to fly, swimming is the next best thing — just think back to the last time you were in the pool (or any other waterbody) and felt that weightless feeling of the water just carrying you.

National Selfie Day!

Check your hair, find your light, and strike a post — National Selfie Day is June 21. Time to find the perfect angle, try out that new filter, and freshen up your socials! If you’re feeling yourself, you’re wearing a new favorite outfit, or even if you’re just bored, it’s time to pull out that camera phone and proclaim, “But first, let me take a selfie.”

Happy Juneteenth!
The freedom of African Americans from slavery in the U.S. in 1865 is celebrated on the holiday Juneteenth on June 19. Juneteenth is made up of the words ‘June’ and ‘nineteenth,’ and it is on this day that Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Texas more than 155 years ago to inform slaves that slavery had been abolished.

NATIONAL MOVIE NIGHT

Pop some popcorn, grab a blanket and your favorite buddy, put away the cell phones and tablets, and then queue up a string of movies for a fun night of entertainment. National Movie Night on the second Friday in June encourages us to start (or restart) a tradition of movie nights with friends and family.

A scavenger hunt challenges teams to scavenge for a list of items, or perform tasks to fulfill the requirements of the hunt. At the end the hunt, a grand prize typically awaits the first person or team that reaches the end of the list. Let's GO!!

Pizza Party Day is celebrated on the third Friday of May. Chances are, this will become one of your favorite holidays. Pizza is one of America’s favorite foods, and it’s no surprise we would celebrate a day that features the versatile and beloved pizza. Pizza parties bring friends together, and can be easily made at home or ordered from a restaurant. No utensils or fancy dishware, just friends and fun. They’re also an excellent way to reward a team or group for a job well done.
