I meant to tell you all this earlier this week.. Bibb County is the latest victim of a cyber-attack.

What does that mean for your closing? It could be delayed.

We aren’t able to verify tax information and title & civil searches are limited.

In some cases we may be able to close. It just depends. Every closing will be examined on a case by case basis.

Deeds aren’t being recorded, but we are still submitting them to the county after closing.

How long will their systems be down? We don’t know.

If anyone has information to the contrary or can provide any insight, please comment below with that information.

🚨AGENTS - SHARE WITH YOUR BUYERS🚨

What is it? A homestead exemption can give homeowners tax breaks on what they pay in property taxes.

How? By reducing the amount of property taxes homeowners owe on their primary residence.

Where to apply? Homeowners must file with the county where their primary residence is located. Each county has different applications and required documents.

When? Homeowners can apply Jan 1 - April 1.

Questions? Contact the tax commissioner in the county where the primary residence is located for more information.

FAQ - What if the homeowner purchased in 2022, 2021 or later? The homeowner can still apply for a homestead exemption!
