We are grateful beyond measure for our partnerships in the community! We want to thank Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union and Oakland County Parks who sponsored our first AAC Summer Picnic last Friday evening. MSGCU donated $1,000 to the AAC to be used for food for the picnic as well as some new pieces of exercise equipment in our exercise room! They also passed out free goodies at the event and answered any financial questions our group had. Oakland County Parks brought out all kinds of fun outdoor oversized games and we had a great time learning about archery, curling and more! They also brought free park passes for any Oakland County resident age 60 and over! We appreciate both of them for all they do in our community to support our members and keep people engaged. Last but not least thank you to our wonderful volunteers and staff for all they do to create these programs and to keep so many of them free!
We had a great time at our Ice Cream Social on Tuesday! Thank you to DJ Andy for coming up with the idea and for playing tunes for free :) Thank you to Will Weaver from Health Markets for donating the monies to purchase our sweet treats. Thank you also to Suzie and City staff for all the help planning, shopping, setting up, working, taking photos and cleaning up after the party. We appreciate you all!
If you haven't done so already, share your thoughts on our current lunch program and what you would like to see in our lunch program. At the end of the survey you can also enter to win a $25 gift card. To start the survey, just click here: bit.ly/AACLunch
