It's been a busy season here at the bakery--I'm a little behind!

My own teenaged twins were confirmed! We had a wonderful weekend celebrating them and this milestone which concluded with a big brunch after church on Sunday.

We had cookies, of course, and quiches, salads, and sourdough bagels and croissants.

Once upon a time, my friend gave me a set of cookies cutters that I don't think she thought I would actually use.
But I did.
I made her some surprise cat butt cookies.
And let me tell you how hard I laughed the whole time I made this little litter of munchable hineys.

2 tiers of white cake and 1 tier of carrot cake. All with vanilla buttercream.

Groom's cake was chocolate with strawberry filling. No food color to achieve that black icing background...just cocoa magic.

Two-bite blueberry scones in recipe development. Good thing my family and friends love to be taste testers!

Apparently, we just do bagels now.

My family is addicted. Plus, they freeze really well.
Today we did a double batch of plain bagels and a single batch of white chocolate/strawberry bagels.
Always sourdough.

Today, I'm gathering all the cookies (and breads) for the Holiday Market at Horizon Elementary tonight (5:30-7).

I'll have single cookies and cookie sets. Adorable mug huggers and DIY cookie kits. Plus some beautiful sourdough loaves and bagels.

It's been a busy week in the bakery preparing for this event, and I'm excited to share all the goodies with you!

And my 10 year old kiddo has been busy dipping pretzels for her very own table.

Classics are classics for a reason.
