Okay, sooo... consensus is that adding the feathers is an adorable bonus, next question... hide the thread as much as possible, or accept that thread exists and go with the flow? I mean, I can buy a spool of thread in every color to make it less obvious, but... I'd rather just do black and maybe white and save the rest of my money for feathers in every color of nature plus lots of unnatural colors, too! Watch the video, share your opinions.

Check it out! I can move my thumb!!! Yes,it really is as hard as it looks just to touch my thumb to my index finger and straighten it again, and that really IS as fast as I can move it, but let me tell you, the angels are singing in my head while it's happening. I also have to WATCH the thumb moving, because right now I just don't have the feedback going to my brain, so I can't actually tell whether or not my thumb is straight without looking at it. But... I can move it!! Still in the splint for at least two more weeks except when I'm doing my stretches, but it's progress! Take a moment, look down at your opposable thumbs, and tell them how much you appreciate them. Trust me, they're fairly useful things to have.
