2013s are Champs!! Congrats on Winning the Midwest Invite last weekend!!

Hi guys,

Are you ready for spring hockey? The Jr Jets will have “invite only” boys teams at the following levels:

2006
2007
2008
2009
2010
2011
2012
2013
2014

The coaches will select players through invitation. No tryouts! The coaches will select 2 or 3 tournaments per team and the location of the tournaments. The program will be completed by mid to late May.

Coaches and contact information will be announced next week.

For the 2006, 2007 and 2008 player you will be participating in a weekend “ Junior Hockey Experience” training camp run by the NAHL Janesvilles Jets coaches. Families will be able to reach out to coaches to express interest.

If there is enough interest from our younger players, then we run a summer youth camp in Verona, too.

Our program for young players is focused on development. For midget age players it is a combination of exposure and development.

Teams were at Shock Doctor in MN this weekend. Congrats to 2010 & 2011 teams on winning their tourneys & the 2013s for taking 3rd place!!

The 2006/2007 Jr Jets team tryouts are this coming Sunday at 11:15am at the Verona Ice Arena. The team will be coached by Oregon Tradesmen Head Coach Eric Fenton and will participate in the North American Hockey League Prospect Challenge in May in Blaine.

Jr Jets 16U are excited to announce Oregon Tradesmen head coach Eric Fenton will coach our 16U team this spring. Looking to play in a tournament in April, May and June. More information coming. The team will be 06 birth year.

Region 4 Kohlman Cup boys tryouts are next Tuesday March 14 at the Verona Ice Arena.
5:15pm - 2011 birth year
7:30pm - 2010 birth year.

Also, Jr Jets tryouts start this week for 2013,2012,2009
& next week for 2011,2010,2008.
We are looking for coaches for a 2014 team. Plenty of player interest, just need good coaches.

The 18U 2005 team is invite only and will play through July. This group has been together a long time and wants to finish out together.

The 16U team will have a tryout and Information will be ready this week on this team. The 16U will play in the NAPHL Showcase in Blaine in May. This tournament has representatives from every NAHL team.

Information on Jr Jets spring teams will be out this week.

A BIG congratulations to Jets alum Jack LaFontaine, who signed an entry-level contract with the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL today. LaFontaine played in 41 regular-season games and four playoff games in the 2015-16 season, and we couldn't be prouder or more excited for what is to come!

Jets family mourns the loss of former Jr Jet Gibson Walsh. Gibby played on our 16U fall team two years ago. He and his dad drove from Hayward to weekend practices in Madison. He was a good kid and is gone way too soon. RIP Gibson!
