The basic student allotment in Texas has not increased since 2019 and Texas teachers lag behind their colleagues across the nation when it comes to salary and benefits. Magnolia ISD Trustees called a November 5 local election to allow voters to consider additional funding for teacher salaries and school safety. MPES Late Night was a success! Teachers and staff enjoyed some extra time in their rooms while mixing in some games and a delicious pancake dinner!

Mrs. Gossett inspired everyone at the Magnolia ISD Elementary Convocation to be a superhero for our students.

Public schools receive three main sources of revenue: local, state and federal. The largest portion of Magnolia ISD’s revenue comes from local sources like tax collections. Local funding accounts for 56% of the budget, while state funding is 42% of the district’s revenue and federal funding only provides 2%. As you prepare for the start of school, did you know that the district offers childcare programs for students both before and after school?

The Early Morning Childcare program is offered free to all families and begins at 6:30 AM at the elementary and intermediate campuses.

The After School Adventures program is offered until 6:30 PM at the elementary and intermediate campuses at a low cost to families.

Welcome to Parkway, Bailee Holley! Ms. Holley will be joining our staff as a student teacher for the fall semester. We are so excited to have her as part of the team!

This week, Mrs. Talley was invited to speak at the Region 6 Literacy Conference. We are so proud of her and thankful to have her as a Bulldog!

A group of Parkway teachers had the opportunity to learn and grow together at the Solution Tree PLC Conference. We are excited about all the great strategies they will bring back to our Parkway team!
