I received this email today:

"We know of an URGENT situation regarding a VERY People AND Dog-Friendly dog in desperate need of a Foster or Adopter and since you know so many dog lovers, I thought I would run him past you.

He is a large male dog, still intact. Has not been to a vet, so we don't know heartworm status.

The woman hanging on to him scrapes by, living in a motel, and must let him go asap. I don't think this dog is going to make it past tomorrow without a plan in place. She is planning to him going to Harris County Animal Control on Tuesday.

Any chance you might know someone looking for a dog with an EXCELLENT temperament???"

Besties, Trudy and Henry Big Head having a romp in the yard yesterday. Henry's human sister just had a baby, so Big Head is having sleepovers with his best girl, Trudy.

I rearranged the kennel and added a couple of panels to one of the 5x5 pens to make it larger. Cooper, the Dane, now has more space. This handsome fella is ready to find a new home. Adoption handled by Freedom Street Rescue.

This beautiful little lady, Caitlyn, has come to stay with us. She was saved from certain death by German Shepherd Dog Rescue and Holistic Care Education Center

A new friend, Bentley. He'll be our guest for a couple of weeks. He arrived yesterday, so Cathy walked him on leash to make sure he was comfortable with us. Today, he's earned off leash status.

I brought Eddie over to the training building so he could meet dog training student, Ali, and her foster dog, Dewey. This is how he started out. His tail was tucked completely under his belly, lips tight, and he was pressed up against me. This boy needs more human interaction with patient, friendly people.

Wow!! This is horrendous. I am going to be meeting this little pup (now named Trip) possibly tomorrow. His foster mom will be bringing him.
