Nana Jan’s Distinctive Wreaths

Jan has been hard at work to create new offerings for the upcoming shows this season. We will be in Sandwich this weekend, the Shriners in October, Danvers in November (changed from Topsfield Arena), back to the Shriners Auditorium and then the Starland Sportsplex in Hanover, MA in December. Nana Jan's is hitting the road this summer! Our next stop is the Sandwich Summer Arts & Craft Festival in Sandwich, MA (Cape Cod) on July 30 and 31 at the former Henry T. Wing School. This is an outdoor event featuring more than 85 booths of American made Arts, Crafts, Specialty Foods and Music! Come and see us and take in the sites of picturesque Cape Cod! Nana Jans is moving and we have been hard at work building out the new craft room. We have built 6 new flower trees and the ribbon wall was built this past weekend. Created this custom ‘Grinch’ wreath for our granddaughter (NFR). Elegant and whimsical. Came out great!! Sorry about the poor photo, did not have time to set up the ‘studio’ before she picked it up.

I love this wreath!! This original and unique design features over 50 feet of 3/5-inch cotton rope braided with blue mesh. It measures 16 inches across x 4 inches deep (to the top of the bow). If you have a property on an 'Unsalted and Shark Free' lake, you have to have one of these! I already have my order in! Here are 3 new wreaths from Jan's special Fall/Holiday collection. There will be a total of 12 wreaths in this collection designed specifically to fit on doors with storm/screen doors and priced attractively. Themes include Fall, Winter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Lake Life and Nature. Todays selections are entitled Hello Fall, Thanksgiving Blessings and Give Thanks. Each of these are 22 inches in diameter and 5 inches deep. They are made of 4 different mesh that are color coordinated to match the vinyl insert and finished with a variety of contrasting ribbon tails. You are sure to find one that is just right for you! There is a lot going on with this 24 inch Ivory and Hunter Green Magnolia including a clever use of a pine cone as the pistil. The wreath incorporates 3 different leaf patterns including a beige plaid behind the hunter green to give a more life like appearance. In total there are 12 layers of leaves, all fused together to reduce fraying. This wreath is very sturdy and would also work nicely as a centerpiece on your table! Don't forget to 👍 and share!

Its Christmas in July with these 26 inch poly burlap Poinsettias. Jan is using a new technique with the petals to create the veined look (hint: it involves an iron). Nana Jan has been very busy creating new wreaths for the upcoming holidays as well as a new show coming up in August at the Craft Festival in Lincoln, NH. More to come on that. Jan has a lot of new designs to share with you so I am going to send out multiple emails. Lets start off with a couple of special wreaths created for Halloween. The Black Cat is 26 inches in diameter and uses 200 yards of black Tulle! 4 of these are available. The Black Grapevine Wreath with the Black Velvet Pumpkin and purple metallic mesh measures 30 x 24 and is adorned with silver and black glitter balls, ficus, seeded and flowering lavender, and sparkling silver eucalyptus. Here is the latest custom wreath made by Nana Jan. This customer wanted very specific colors on a sunflower theme with a black grapevine wreath. I believe this is also the first time Janice mixed poly burlap with florals and it came out great. Remember, ‘If you can imagine it, Jan can design it!’

The weather has surprising cleared and it is getting busy. Only a few hours left to come by and visit us at Meredith Craft Festival at the Mills Fall Marketplace across from beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee!

Day 2 at the Meredith Craft Fair is now in the rear view mirror. Despite a heavy afternoon rain, sales were pretty good including a sale to the owner of Castleberry Fairs; Janice was very flattered! It was a very busy weekend preparing for the upcoming show!
