Coming up in October, we have an alumni homecoming event. The events planned include charity golf tournament, dinners, seeing the new renovations of the chapter house, and catching up with brothers. The events are open to all brothers but the golf tournament is available to anyone that would like to play. It’s a 4 man scramble tournament. The winner receives a cash prize and the rest of the proceeds will go to Johnson cancer research center. Excited for our upcoming reunion brothers!

Earlier this month, brothers, Hayden Pater and Kevin Tarwater, attended our Grand Chapter’s 58th Conclave. This event is a time for our brothers of all ages to come together to make decisions and get to know each other better. Our delegates in attendance said they formed great new relationships and had a fun time doing it. Our national networking is one of the greatest in the nation with over 380,000 members of our fraternity in our history. Conclave is a great example of the top tier networking opportunities our national fraternity provides for our undergrads.

Also a huge congratulations to Brother Greg Pestinger from our home chapter class of 86’ on being reelected to our national board of directors. Brother Pestinger has done wonderful work on the national level and has been nothing but a great resource for our shared home of Kansas Beta.

Over the past week, our president, Hayden Pater, attended the Ruck Leadership Academy in Richmond, Virginia. He said, “The experience at Ruck was a unique and enlightening one. I learned so much and met so many great people. The experience really provided me with the tools needed to make the best of my final semester of presidency. It was a great reminder of why I’m so proud to be a SigEp.” Our leadership programming is an amazing asset of our fraternity, and we could not be more thankful for the opportunities we have been provided.

Special thanks to Mom’s Club for all the work you do, Thank You!
Thank you seniors! 🎓🎉
Cheers to all the memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Over the last four years you have proven yourselves to be balanced men - wishing you all a bittersweet farewell to one chapter and an exciting beginning to the next!
Recently our chapter hosted a campus-wide SigEp Learning Community (SLC) event dedicated to hazing prevention. Rae Gruver and Evelyn Piazza, two mothers who have lost their sons to hazing, shared their stories about loss, perseverance, and the importance of hazing prevention. Again, a huge thank you to Rae Gruver, Evelyn Piazza, and everyone who attended.
Love, Mom & Dad
Come listen to Mrs. Gruver and Mrs. Piazza as they turn their tragedies into progress. Tomorrow in the Student Union Ballroom at 7pm.

This evening we had the opportunity to listen to head Kansas State men’s basketball coach Jerome Tang speak about crazy faith and brotherly love.
Coach Tang is coming off of an Elite 8 season, after being picked last in the Preseason Big 12 Media Poll. Winner of the Naismith Coach of The Year Award, Tang’s goal for the ‘Cats remains to be one thing: Win a National Championship.’
Tang’s incredible year he attributes to his faith and connection with the players, inspiring all of our members to raise their bar.
