Reggie and Fortuna wanted a short, sweet wedding ceremony, but didn't want to skip the photos or the beautiful flowers! Their wishes were granted yesterday when they exchanged vows at the Riley County Courthouse with their family present. The grin on Fortuna's face says it all! Congratulations, Fortuna and Reggie!

What better way to commemorate turning six than with your very own photoshoot? I can't think of one! Berklee recently turned six and started school. She is animated, outgoing, and loves gymnastics and dance! Look out world, this girl is going places!!

Two half sheets are heading to Manhattan today for a memorial luncheon for a very special lady- she was my second mom when I was growing up…my best friends momma. The pretty floral cake is for my friend and her family to have and share privately. She doesn’t know it’s coming to her but I think she’ll love it.

The sheets are wedding white and fresh strawberry. Each are decorated in a vintage vanilla almond buttercream style and scored to make cutting even portions easy.

The cake is vanilla and chocolate marble with French vanilla cookie filling and is covered with vanilla almond buttercream. The top features pallet knife florals highlighted with a few candy pearls, edible glitter, and edible copper paint. The bow around the base is fabric.

What's just as important to photograph as a wedding? A 50th anniversary! While I covered a wedding, Rolan helped celebrate Sam & Chris's 50th anniversary at the beautiful and historic Columbian Theatre in Wamego. Friends and family enjoyed food and even a live band while looking back at memories made during the past 50 years. Happy Anniversary!

Eight years ago, Rolan and I photographed Brianne and Connor's wedding. Now, they have three lovely children and we got to reunite all Brianne's family for a four generation photo! I feel so extremely privileged to be able to document this group!

Tomorrow is the last first day of high school for George and the MHS Class of 2025! That's a big milestone. George is already a successful pianist, but he also enjoys robotics club and working with electronics at Teknix Solutions. He is pretty certain he will attend college later, but right now, he has to enjoy his Senior Year! Good luck, Class of 2025!

Zara and Jonathan's love story began in the U.S. Navy and become official in Manhattan, Kansas when they said, "I do." Jonathan's grandma lives in Kansas so this became the meeting spot! It was a dreamlike day, complete with custom rings, a beautiful vintage gown, uniforms and henna, not to mention this gorgeous, realistic sea turtle groom's cake, almost too pretty to eat!! Congratulations!

I'm continually amazed at the variety of photography assignments I receive! Yesterday, I photographed the West Point Diploma of President Eisenhower. This took quite a bit of advance planning, but with the help of the Dwight D. Eisenhower National Archives, we accomplished the project on time and even received a positive review! This was so very interesting!

Please welcome Jah to Kansas! He recently moved here from Georgia. Jah serves in the U.S Army and returned from deployment not long ago. He made the great decision to treat himself to a photo session! I'm sure his family and friends back home miss that winning smile!

What better way to throw a bridal get together than a henna party!?!? Zara and her husband-to-be chose to bring family from all over the United States to the Prairiewood Retreat & Preserve StoneHouse for a weekend retreat as well as their wedding. The celebrations started Thursday evening with a henna party. It was a great way to bring everyone together, have fun and take advantage of beautiful artistry created by Veronica's Veil. The groom's name is even hidden in one place, can you find it?

Congratulations, Mark and Carly! Carly and Mark knew they wanted to emphasize family on their wedding day. They picked the perfect venue, Circle S Ranch & Country Inn, to do so. The ranch had enough space for family and friends to stay there as well as be a part of their beautiful wedding ceremony. Not even a little rain could dampen their spirits! Gorgeous flowers arranged by a friend and wonderful vistas completed a perfect day!

Married on the 4th of July! I feel like Calvin and Alexis's wedding could have been a movie! The beautiful lakeside setting of the ceremony, the historic Ft. Riley Custer House as a reception and getting ready site, and the fact that it was on July 4th all led to a dream-like day! Congratulations, Alexis & Calvin!

Do you want to know a secret? This was the most beautiful intimate wedding venue I've found and it's right nearby! Kailey & Jack had a gorgeous wedding Saturday in the old stone cavalry barn at Milford Lake. The couple traveled from Texas to get married here and be surrounded by friends and family. The flowers were spectacular and the weather, lighting and details were just perfect. The new little family celebrated afterwards in Manhattan and will return to Texas as newlyweds. Congratulations, Kailey and Jack!!

Dreams really do come true! Cassidy and Couy were married yesterday in the wedding of their dreams! The sun shone on their outdoor lakeside ceremony where family and friends from multiple states watched them exchange rings. Their daughter, Wrenly, joined them in dancing and eating cake at the reception in the beautifully lit Willows Bend building. You couldn't wipe the smiles from their faces! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Weil!!

Remember Jason and Jennifer's beautiful fall wedding at Black Jack Hills? I am tickled pink they are expecting a baby girl in August!! I really couldn't be happier for them and am super excited to meet the newest family member!! Congratulations, again, Jennifer and Jason!!!

This family keeps me on my toes! I have really enjoyed watching the Steinlage family grow and change over the years. This year, Genevieve add her dog, Bruce, to the family! He is such a photogenic, agreeable addition. Happy Summer, kids!

It's hot enough even the local wildlife is panting!

Normally, I would make a Father's Day post, but today my youngest turns Sweet 16, so I had to celebrate her. She has grown into a smart, sassy, kind-hearted person who loves baking and fostering pets. This next year is filled with milestones, like driving independently and getting her braces removed in a few days. She loves to row and excels.

I realized today all three of our kids will hit milestones this year: 16, 18 and 25. I have no idea if I'm ready, but I know they will be! Happy Birthday, Kellyn!

Chloe and Kenneth's wedding reception was truly a night to remember! They danced, dined, and even glowed under black lights. The kids were really creative and fashioned jump ropes from glow sticks! The newlyweds made new memories together with family and friends before walking off under moonlight to begin their new lives together!
