I always love taking my brother's family pictures every year, even though he's really good at making things awkward during the couple's photos. Ha! Sharing a posed and everyone looking at the camera pic so you know I do include those as well in your session!

It's always fun to get halfway through a session and realize you're walking in an area with poison ivy in it. Yikes. Thankfully no one ended up getting it. Onto busy season!

I have no idea what I said or did here, but I love the reaction. Ha!

I am supposed to be on vacation right now, but after only 24 hours in Colorado, we had a sick kiddo. So we pivoted and drove back home and made some other plans. Lots of rest today and also knocking this session out. Life with kids: expect the unexpected!

My fall openings are already halfway full and I'm as happy as this little nugget! Don't hesitate to grab a spot with me before I'm booked!

Had such a great time with this little guy's family last night and we were all glad we rescheduled from shooting in 103 degree temps to 84 degrees. Whew!

I'm going to be opening up my fall schedule TONIGHT at 5 p.m.! Spots, including weekends, are limited. I do not shoot on Sundays or Wednesdays, and I shoot during golden hour (the hour before sunset) -- just to prep you as you look for days you might like!

It's hard to find words sometimes, but would you please pray for this family as Herb, the husband in this photo, went to see Jesus face-to-face this week? He was such a wonderful, kind, and godly man and his family and friends will all miss him very much. I'm so grateful I was able to get their family photos a few years ago and capture this fleeting moment. Thank you, friends.

Let me tell you about this couple. We go to church with them and have sat behind them many times. When we stand to sing for worship, they are always holding hands. Always. I was told at the beginning of this session "good luck" on getting a smile from him, (which I got a few - ha!), but the smile he's giving his wife -- I can't top that. ❤️ 😭

It's been a bit since I've posted on here! I hope you all had a great holiday season, and if you didn't, just keep putting one foot in front of the other. :)

I don't like the cold, but I do love snow! If it's going to be cold, let's have some snow! My poor kids don't get snow days around here. Ha! I took this tonight because it was just so peaceful.

Are you a resolution setter? I always say I'm not, but then I do have some things I want to improve on each year, so I guess they are goals. One of the biggest goals I have is less time on my phone, no phone before my Bible in the morning, and no phone before bed.

Care to share any of your goals or resolutions?

Knocked out a super fast session with my brother's family around Thanksgiving because it was c-c-cold, and I have a new little nephew who sure didn't need to be out in it. So nice having another baby to love on! I think his siblings would agree. 🥰

I've said it many times, but I'll say it again: The only feet I am okay with are baby feet.

One of my favorite families! These kids always make me laugh and I love being a big weirdo to make them smile.

We had such beautiful weather this last week! And would you believe me if I told you how well behaved all these boys were for pictures?!

Big family session last night and I'm headed out for another one tonight! I've been so thankful that we haven't had freezing temps for these! I remember several last year that were ridiculously cold!

You can never have too many "curly red hair on toddler" posts if you ask me.
