A great story about Walk for Life on WMFD TV!

MANSFIELD, OH - Richland Pregnancy Services' Walk for Life had plenty of VIPs. How about 240 walkers who combined to raise over $40,000 for the Life-Affirming services offered at RPS.

RPS Executive Director Amy Kahl said there was excitement taking place before and after the walk. There was a chance you might run into Spider-Man, Batman, Flash, Super Girl, princesses, or even a T-Rex.

"This is our first year to be downtown in Central Park," Kahl said. "I think it is a great opportunity for Richland Pregnancy Services to just let the city know that we are here, that we have free services, that we're here for you."

Mansfield First Evangelical Presbyterian Church Mansfield 1st EPC provided the fun while event participants were registering. Corn hole, sidewalk chalk, Plinko, and giant bubble soap bubbles were favorites for young and old.

OasisofLove Church always lives up to their name providing cold water and apple slices at a halfway stop at Richland Carrousel Park.

Brad Steward brought 16 members of his family and even more members from his church, Mansfield Baptist Temple. Steward said it is a great cause.

"The great thing about Richland Pregnancy Services is they give an option for people," Steward said. "It's more let me help you and show you a better way, that there's a better option, and to me that is worth more than anything."

Steward said, "Just showing people there's a better option out there, there's a God that loves them, there's a life (human being) inside of you, and let's help you get going."

Walker Lake Baptist Church was one of the largest sponsored teams at the Walk for Life. Randy Shepherd (Laura Niecy Shepherd) with the cool sunglasses told why he Walks for Life, "I believe in the cause. Our church is all in at Walker Lake, and I am Pro-Life."

I'm sure we will be talking about Walk for Life for a while! It was such a fun day, God was shining down a beautiful day for the event. We could not have made it happen with out the amazing sponsors!!!

What an amazing day!
We were blessed with beautiful weather and got to spend the morning with 240 of our friends at Walk for Life!
More than $37,000 was raised to support the life-saving ministry of Richland Pregnancy Services!
