Youth snowmobile safety training this weekend Dec. 3, 8am - noon at Independance City Hall. This course is open to all youth age 11-15. You must complete the online course work PRIOR to the Sunday class. Please bring your DNR "Youth follow-up voucher" to the Sunday class.

Snowmobile safety training The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources offers two courses, youth and adult, to promote snowmobile safety and to train snowmobile operators. Both courses will lead to a Snowmobile Safety Certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Stop out to the groomer barn tonight for the Northwest Trails Association end of season cookout! Starts at 6pm. Meats chips, and pop will be provided, and bring a side if you’re inclined!

When: grill starting at noon, Sunday Jan. 15th. Burgers till they're gone!
Where: NWT/Snomads trail shelter at Luce line/Maple Plain junction
Who: Everyone on the trail is welcome!
Why: Because we can and Viking fans need something positive before the game!

While we impatiently wait to get grooming going, we improve! Brushing and signing touch-ups from the north end of Baker Park to Polaris HQ. Should be easier going for the Tuckers this season and safer for riders!

Trail work day black friday! We don't have any doorbusters to offer, but can offer a fun day of comradery complete with off road vehicles, chainsaws and absolutely no crowded parking lots!

2021 Northwest Trails Association Fall Trail Prep This video highlights some of the fall trail prep work done in 2021 by the Northwest Trails Volunteers

Shelter Party Sunday, Feb. 6 starting at 11 am.
There is now a groomed trail around lower lake Minnetonka that is for dog sleds only until after the Saturday races! Please show them how respectful our snowmobile community is during the race on Saturday!

Everyone has the itch to get out and ride and yes, the trails are open.
PLEASE
use Caution - trails have minimal snow cover and the groomers have not been out. Please let the big orange machines going 6mph be the ones to find the snow covered log, unburried culverts, stray barbwire, and clumps of dirt from farm implements.
