Ever since I installed my Dobinson MRR suspension I was unable to install my front sway bar due to the fitment of the MRR reservoir brackets. The brackets interfered with the washer fluid tank and didn’t match the sway bar bolt hole pattern. This is likely due to the brackets being generic to fit multiple vehicles.

Problem solved. I designed new brackets that fit around the washer fluid tank. Have multiple mounting locations for reservoir placement. Locate using the sway bar mounting holes while fitting over Ark splash guards.

If there is enough interest in these brackets I could have more pairs made.

Finally got around to mounting my diode dynamic SS3 and SS5 on my red dog bumper. It required custom mounting brackets shorter than the diode dynamics provided brackets. I also added extra adjustability to be able to place the lights were I wanted them.

Here is the first prototype for the minimal rear bumper mud flap delete. I am happy with it. I think I am able to make it smaller and give more clearance around the tire.

Finally have time to work on the rear GX470 mud flap delete.

Current plan is to offer two size. One similar to this and one as minimal as possible that just fills in the rear bumper.

We recently bought a 3d scanner and finally got to try it out. Scanned the GX470 with the bumper and then without the bumper support and cover. The goal being using the scans to design front bumpers from and comparing the design to stock.

Up to this point everything we offer has been modeled with a ruler and calipers. This should help bring more products to market.

Would anyone be interested in getting the scan data for designing a bumper?

This is the Hawkeye Garage edition! Dual cup holder that fit most standard water bottles. Insulated 20oz bottles and 30oz tumblers fit fine. There are also pockets for a chapstick and pen.

After sitting on new sport headlights for nearly one year we decided to install them. They really do make a huge improvement over the faded stock headlights.

We also made sure to have ppf installed on the headlights to protect them.

We might play around with the old headlights by upgrading the projectors and restoring the lenses. That is a project for another day.

The wait is finally over!

We finally got a design of the transfer case surround panel that we are happy with and willing to sell. This took a long time and was difficult to find a clean way to incorporate a cup holder that had a great surface finish.

We currently have 3 versions of the panel available:

- Blank panel (with or without DAC switch cutout)
- Cup holder panel (with or without DAC switch cutout)
- 8-swirtch Switch Pros SP9100 Panel (with or without DAC switch cutout)

Each of these panels is a direct replacement to the stock panel with no modification required for install.

These are all available on our website for order.

DAC switch can be relocated to another location but the stock wiring needs to be extended. We sourced the correct connectors and are testing a relocation harness to move the DAC switch next to the cigarette lighter socket.

While we had the interior apart for the Teyes CC3 and cameras we took the time to design a few new switch panels.

Three new switch panels were created.

- panel with heated seat controls (+2 standard Toyota switches)
- Ashtray replacement (+3 standard Toyota switches)
- Mirror control panel (+2 standard Toyota switches)

Each of these panels is a direct replacement to the stock panel with no modification required for install.

Panel blank covers can also be used until switches are installed in the locations.

We decided to take a company retreat to Moab and were told there was a Starbucks nearby….. Google lied😜

I Recently got a chance to install the Teyes CC3 head unit and 360 cameras. The install of the head unit wasn’t terrible. The mounting brackets and screen frame could use some better instructions. The 360 cameras weren’t difficult to install aside from tearing the interior apart to trim all of the wiring. Still trying out features but so far the teyes is an improvement over the stock head unit.

The sunroof never worked since purchasing the GX. I figured this was the best time to inspect the sunroof and grease the tracks to get it working again. Turns out it was a little more than just needing some grease. The passenger side drive cable had rusted in the guide tube. It appeared that the drains on the passenger side had clogged at some point causing the cable to be submerged in water. Luckily I found a local junkyard that had a working sunroof that I was able to swap in to replace mine.

We’ve been putting the Blue Dog to work testing out a new product. We can officially say it’s Blue Dog approved!

Our GX460 Front Fender Cap is available.

This took way longer than we expected and way longer than we told everyone. Finding a local modified GX460 or someone willing to remove the running board was a challenge. Thankfully we found two awesome people and they helped us out.

The fender caps are available at https://bluedogdesignwerks.com

They are sold as a pair with all of the required hardware included.

They were designed to tuck up as far as possible. Much closer than the stock running board trimmed section people often keep. They were not tested with any sliders though so if you have a concern about clearance don’t hesitate to reach out.

Couple of new products in the works!

Rear mud flap delete panel has been added to the list. This will replace the stock mud flap that attaches to the rear bumper. The goal is to have a trim piece that mates up flush to the profile of the bumper.

Stock fog light was also scanned for another project.
