On May 30th, MPHS hosted an event called 'STEM Like Me!' in Kayla Carter's & Tyler Marcus' 5th & 6th period classes. It was a huge success and our partners were very pleased! We're hoping to bring this event back next year in an even larger capacity. Here's what our partners had to say about the event:
"Local career exploration program, 'STEM Like Me!', brings the excitement of STEM careers directly into classrooms offering hands-on activities and interactions with professionals from various fields. Snohomish STEM and Career Connect NW brought local STEM professionals to Marysville Pilchuck last month with outstanding student survey feedback showing a 71% increase in knowledge of STEM careers and 55% increased desire to pursue a STEM career! This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and the invaluable support of our partners at Marysville School District and our employer partners from Harmsen LLC, Core Design Inc., NW Ambulance, and Zap Energy. These statistics aren't just numbers; they reflect the passion and dedication of educators like you, guiding students towards rewarding STEM pathways. With your continued support, we're nurturing the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders. Thank you for your commitment to inspiring and empowering students through STEM education!

Wildcat Night at Marysville Middle School arrived with a roar, bringing cheers from those in attendance! Music filled the air while families watched performances, visited showcases, and gained insights about valuable community resources. CTE was proud to have several of our programs support this event: STEM Foods students expertly planned and prepped a tasty spaghetti feed for hundreds of guests to serve a free community dinner, and our STEM Technology teacher inspired visitors with innovative 3D projects dreamed up by her students. Career and College partners also joined the event to help middle school students begin to plan their educational journey post-high school. This was a truly collaborative effort by students and staff to bring the community together.
